What do you do when you think someone likes you and is playing hard to get ?

Hi guys . So , hey . In my class , there's this guy who messaged me all of a sudden . We weren't that close before , so I found it weird that he suddenly messaged me. So , he ask about homework , how was I , and stuff like that. Than when the teacher was not around, he will switch places and sit closer to where I'm sitting , and see what I am doing. But now a days , he don't message me , but just giving me a smile and pretend to be " gentlemanly " even though I know he's not. So , what do you guys think ?

I had that happened before... But he didn't ignore me and stuff. He would come and talk to me out of nowhere and sit with me in class. We knew each other since kindergarten but since he came to highschool, he changed so much. He would always sit really close to me (something like clingy) So I asked him if he liked me (Because i'm straightforward) BUT joked around and told others that "I" liked him. So I never really talked to him again til he moved away. I guess he changed back? So I talk to him now and then online :)

dont fall for him, dont show any sign that you are interested in him .. dont make it easy for him either, just ignore him
