☂ graphic contest entries | horrible graphics ahead

It's been ages since I last shared graphics and of course, joined graphic contests. I've joined a few before but well, yeah. out of fun. I actually ha the liberty to join two graphic contests as of this week and I hope my graphics don't look like . They actually do... to be quite honest.

First Entry: DUO GRAPHIC CONTEST

Prompt: Light/Dark Angst ; usage of certain textures and stock, title, quote, ulzzang

Designer's Notes: Honestly, I thought of using EXO's Xiumin and Kim Youjung for this graphic.
However, I was too lazy looking for photos. I'm not really good at the extremities of genres
which is why the graphic isn't really what I expected. I'm losing inspiration too.

Second Entry: HISTORY GRAPHIC CONTEST

Prompt: usage of certain textures and stocks, 1-3 characters, title, horror

Designer's Notes: It's my second time submitting a graphic contest entry that stars SNSD members, lol.
I honestly love the picture of Yoona here cause it give off the doll vibe. I know it especially the
typography as I think I don't have a lot of horror-poster suiting fonts.

Hihi. So there they are. I know they're not good but I hope they really don't look like poop or something.
I hope to further improve my skills in PS-ing especially in the genres I can't do.
I really look up to some of the designers here such --wickedjackal, MusicChibi, HnieeMinn,
--YatLuvG, _Melie, ing, baboraccoon, lynnryan, danhobak, m-rated, kimxbb and etc.
Oh well. I still have a very very long way to go in this journey. Till next time, darlings!

I actually love the textures you used here and also the colouring, you did great in these two parts. ^^ I don't have problem with your characters placement either, I think it can works. My only problem is that I think you deleted too much of that girl in the first poster, hence making her looks awkward there. Try to balance your brushes, I mean, play with your brush's size and opacity while you're blending her picture, so you could control the amount of parts that you erased. If you're using layer mask, try to bring back part of her hair and her body. If you're afraid that you might bring back too much, adjust your brush size and opacity frequently until you get something that would be suitable.

Ahh~ I talk a bit too much again. Mian~ In all honesty, I think you're doing good. You just need more practice in your blending and then you'll be great. huhu. Even I still need a lot of practice. haha. ^^

And I'm glad you looked up on me ♥ If you need any help or anything to know about your graphics you can ask me ^^
