      ✈ — It is no secret that one of Haeyeon's main traits is her never-ending optimism. She has always been a very open-minded and cheerful person, looking at the bright side of things and seems intent on facing her problems head-on, knowing it will hurt less to just face them instead of abandoning them and hoping for the best. Haeyeon is nothing short of confident and likes the idea of appearing cool and charismatic in front of other people. Whenever someone meets her for the first time, it can leave a rather interesting impression as she is often told she gives off an aura of someone who is cool and kind of friendly. She finds it easy to express her thoughts, opinions and desires and knows the proper rights and wrongs. She is able to initiate and maintain comfortable relationships with other people and most often enter friendships from an "I count my needs, I count your needs" position. She has good control of her own mood, like her anger, as she is willing to compromise with others instead of just trying to have things her way. She has good self-esteem and likes to discuss things through reasoning and use of proper words.

Being a member of a strong-willed and opinionated family, she has been taught not to back down without a proper fight. She has more than once been compared to the Scandinavian Vikings, with her parents jokingly wondering whether she was actually born in the wrong place and time period. Haeyeon is hard to sway when it comes to her opinions and beliefs and can be hard to convince otherwise when caught up in a fight with her. She can get defensive during an argument and will do anything in order to protect the fact that she's right, although it often just leads to her being wrong and being embarrassed of herself, yet she often refuses to admit the mistakes and brushes it off as "a wrong choice of action."

Haeyeon has never been content on thinking inside of the box. She's not fond of playing it safe and likes to take risks in order to make her designs and works even bigger and better than what they might've been otherwise. There are different varities of creativity out there; Haeyeon's involves experimenting with different elements before the idea strikes. She is the kind of creator that pushes two and two pieces randomly together before seeing how much sense it might actually make and is also quick to see the necessary changes and potential of a piece.

      ✈ — Jung Haeyeon was born on 30 August 1991 as the daughter of Jung Kwanghoon, CEO of JPK Enterprises, and Jung Akyung, one of the leading nurses at Seoul Sky Hospital. She was raised in Incheon as the youngest of two siblings, having an older sister five years her senior who met and exceeded every single one of their parents' expectations. Her family is upper middle class and filled with great ambition and thoughts about the future for the members of the Jung household. She often felt like she was in the shadow of her brilliant sister, yet it allowed her a bit of freedom to purchase the things she desired to do as a career. Growing up, she was well-known within the community because of her parents, but she found it troublesome and didn't really look too much into it.

When she reached high school, she began exploring the possibilities of her future. She knew of her family's expectations and wanted to do something that would please both them and herself while she was at it. Deciding your future is not an easy task, and doing it for the sake of someone else is no fun either. It was also in high school where she met Minseok, a senior whom she was introduced to through mutual friends. They hit off right away and spent a lot of time together, despite their families' doubtful looks and subtle but harsh comments. When she entered university, they officially began dating and have been together ever since.

✈ lifestlye — Jung Haeyeon lives in a two-bedroom apartment in Seoul, South Korea, with her best friend from high school, Jihyun, but is often over at Minseok's place because she finds it a lot cosier than hers. She attends Korea University as a Business major and spends a lot of her time on campus or at a coffee shop close by. When she's not at home, she hangs out with her friends or her boyfriend, and she usually does things like going to the movies and visiting the art gallery in the city. Haeyeon goes come during the holidays, but prefers staying out of the family home due to the past and questioning relatives.

      ✈ — This girl can rarely go a day without her daily fill of delicious caffeine. She finds coffee shops to be quite romantic as well as she had her first date with Minseok there.
      ✈ — She is not fond of arguments and usually stands on the sidelines during one unless it gets physical.
      ✈ — In public, she acts rather bold and controlled, but she can be rather submissive behind closed doors.
      ✈ — One of her hobbies involves cooking, but she dislikes cleaning and the thought of dusting.
      ✈ — She likes to go to the beach, swimming and collecting sea shells.
      ✈ — Was born left-handed, but taught herself to use her right hand at school.
      ✈ — She's a bit of a feminist.

      ✈ — When she was young, she used to collect Japanese fans which were then put next to her pillow as she went asleep at night. She believed they were protectors of dreams that blew off nightmares and bad influences.

      ✈ — Father || Jung Kwanghoon || 55 || CEO of JPK Enterprises || Detail-oriented, strict, precise, a little oblivious || Due to his work and workaholic tendencies, Haeyeon haven't had much time to bond with her father over the years. She tolerates him as the CEO and her father, but is also restricted to show respect towards him by bowing 90º as he walks by, calling him "Father" or even "Sir."
      ✈ — Mother || Jung Akyung || 56 || Head Nurse || Lively, cheerful, sociable, friendly || Unlike her father, Haeyeon's mother never had a problem when it came down to spending time with her children, spoiling them rotten to make up for their father's absence, but she also kept a close eye on them when it came to their futures. She and Haeyeon always had a closer relationship than she and her father.
      ✈ — Sister || Jung Siyeon || 28 || Lawyer || Calm, cool, smart, sophisticated, kind || Haeyeon had a mixed relationship with her older sister. Due to their , they never really played with one another for more than a few years before Siyeon decided it was too weird to play with your little sibling like that. Siyeon was always the favorite in Haeyeon's eyes, but she didn't mind it due to the freedom she was given. Haeyeon loves her sister, though, and Siyeon calls her every once in a while. She is the only one, albeit subtle, showing her support towards her relationship with Minseok.

      ✈ — Best friend || Lee Jihyun || 22 || Student in International Studies || Charming, friendly, lively, clever || Jihyun and Haeyeon was both dominant figures in their own ways, but Jihyun is the boss in their relationship. They are roommates in Seoul, and Jihyun cleans while Haeyeon cooks, which works for them both. Jihyun is from the same social class as Haeyeon, but she is all for her relationship and is always there to tease Haeyeon about their "romantic stares" and her obvious "bedroom eyes."
      ✈ — Friend || Park Choa || 24 || Lounge singer || Sincere, motherly, serious, hard-working || Their friendship goes back to high school. She was the one who introduced Minseok to Haeyeon and has been by her side since then. Choa likes to hang out with her and talk to her about boys, music and the cruise. Haeyeon finds Choa to be the kindest and admires her for her hard work.

      ✈ — Love rival || Heo Gayoon || 24 || Guitarist/singer || Gentle, quiet, reserved || Gayoon is a beautiful girl and also the childhood friend of Minseok. They all went to the same high school, and Haeyeon used to be rather jealous of Gayoon's connection to her to-be boyfriend. She had always had a crush on her childhood friend and did not like it for him to be taken by some youngster who had only known him for a short amount of time (compared to her). They aren't very close and often compete for Minseok's attention.
