Topic: Anti-Exo People / Haters

This topic has been getting on my last nerves these past few days and I know I should be doing homework, but I have to type this now or I'm going to explode from anger. Please, I am not trying to bash anyone, any fandom, any band and any individual. Please, I am also not going to be someone who is going to rant on how perfect EXO is and please consider that I am human. I might leave things out of my rant and that if I do offend anyone in anyway, then please just kindly tell me. I really don't want to offend anyone. I really just want people to become more aware. Like said, I'm not trying to bash so please, please, if I sound as if I'm rude or hypocritical or anything, just comment nicely. thanks.

I understand that there has been a lot of "EXO haters" lately. And most of these supposed people whom hate or dislike EXO- which I really don't have a problem with, if you don't like EXO, then fine. I'm really not trying to tell anyone to like EXO because it's really their choice. However, a lot of these "haters" claims of hating EXO revolves around

1. EXO's Sasaengs (I am not going to call them fans, okay.)
2. EXO fans in general being arrogant, rude, and bashing other fandoms and other bands- even their sunbaes
3. EXO being overrated and popular
4. EXO only being popular because of being in SM and that they don't deserve this fame
5. EXO not working as hard as other groups yet being so popular (ex: lip-syncing on stage, not having a comback for pretty much a year, etc.)
6. EXO fans only liking EXO for their looks (EXOtic is not an offical name so I'm not going to use it haha, idk)

And really, there are so much more around the same topics that I can name, but those are the few that came up into my mind. Ugh, I'm not here to ing say EXO are the most perfect boys in the ing world because, they are not. Obviously. They are humans god damn it. I'm not hating on EXO, I really do love them as a group. But please try to understand where I'm getting at. I'm trying to clarify what many people think about EXO and other groups in general. I'm not trying to tell you to become an EXO fan and I'm not telling you to not be one either. I'm simply stating that before you- either a hater or a fan- say things about a certain band is that you have some level of understanding about the band greater than that stereotypes set on the band or their fans.

Firstly, not all EXO fans are sasaengs- we as a fandom maybe known to have many sasaengs, but that doesn't mean all EXO fans are now sasaengs, creepy, and stalk EXO all day. I mean, many act like EXO never even tried to appoint this problem. THEY HAVE. And if you don't believe me, search it up yourself. Many members have gotten angry at sasaengs and spoke out their anger about the whole ordeal. It's not like EXO choose the fans they wanted, so why should people judge a band because of their fans? Is it fair for a band to be judged by how they are like and their personalities and talents because their "fans" stalk them? DO they really like being stalk? No. And even EXO fans are all generalized as arrogant, annoying, stalkers, and bashers. And the thing is, we aren't all like that. I think bashing is completely wrong and at some point ignorant. I respect bands like Super Junior and TVXQ. I respect all k-pop bands. And when I found out that some EXO fans were bashing TVXQ and Super Junior and many other bands, it makes me angry as well. I don't think EXO is better than Super Junior or TVXQ. Why? Because they are just rookies. I'm not ing saying that in a way to put EXO down and not call them talented, but it's the ing truth. Super Junior and TVXQ (and many other bands, not only those two) have been in this industry way longer than EXO have. That's a known fact. And I understand that some fans are supporting their idols, but bashing is not the way. Please. Honestly, why should it matter than about the fans if you want to judge a band? I mean, it's so hard to explain this to you guys what is my opinion and I really don't believe I am right nor wrong. I really, really, please I just want people to listen and hear for what I have to say.

Other people hate EXO for them being overrated and their popularity. Well honestly all I can say is, fine. I'm not going to judge anyone for hating EXO in a way that don't bash the band with statements that just doesn't line up with what is "right" or "wrong". People can dislike EXO because it's not their type of music or whatever, so just move on. And okay, if you don't believe they deserve their fame, okay. Really, why does it matter? Ugh, I'm trying not to sound hypercritical, but their is a define difference in just not liking a band and bashing on them and stating verbally in a negative intention that you hate them and they should die (or whatever. You get what I'm trying to say).

Now what irks me the most are people who say EXO don't work as hard as other rookie groups just because they are more popular than them and because they didn't have a comeback for more than a year. If many still don't know, even if bands are not having a comeback, they are constantly promoting. Just because one band had three comebacks and others had only two does not mean the band with two comebacks worked less than the one with three. Every single band puts so much hard work into their work, no matter how popular they become. A lot of people don't understand how hard k-pop idols really do work. And if people really want to know, I'm pretty sure EXO had schedules during that so called "one year break" and haha, that break was killing EXO fans too soooo. And honestly, I can go on, but just watch this and you'll understand where I'm trying to get at. [ TL;DR : Dongho Quit Kpop, and Why We Would, Too - EAT YOUR KIMCHI ]

There are some people also hating on EXO for whom they have their schedules with- such as preforming with SNSD or f(x) or preforming their sunbae's songs such as SHINee's, etc. Many state that EXO simply want to become more popular by choosing to preform with their sunbaes. First off, I'm pretty damn sure they are honored to work with their sunbaes, sooo. Secondly, please consider the fact that S.M. arranges MOST of their schedules and when they comeback. Just because they preform with another band doesn't mean they freaking arranged it by themselves and were like "I'm going to do this" and do it because they are idols. It really doesn't work that way. If it did, (referring to the video) many bands wouldn't be working long hours and commuting to 389847324983 concerts a day without any breaks.
And honestly, I don't know. It just makes me angry sometimes that many people judge bands before they even know them. I'm not expecting anyone to like EXO, like you don't need to if you don't want to, but ugh. You get what I mean right?

Repeating myself lol, but I'm not bashing anyone or not trying to. Please just understand the purpose of my long rant (that nobody is going to read) and just please, please, remember my notes of not trying to bash anyone and not trying to convert someone into an EXO fan, etc. And I am an EXO fan. I tried my hardest not to be biased throughout my rant, but no promises because I do go off when I rant. ANNNND, I hate so much to say, but I don't have the time right now.
 

OH AND EXO LOVES THEIR FANS OKAY. IDK IF I MADE THEM SOUND AS IF THEY HATED THEM, BUT OMG GUYS DON'T JUDGE I'M JUST REALLY MAD RIGHT NOW.
