I've read several fics now, and I came to the realization that there are 3 major types of / scenes....

They are as follows:

Movie :

Movie comes in varying degrees, but is still probably the most tame.  I call it 'movie ' because... well, it's like the in movies.  

It tends to have a little more depth and emotion, and the visual aspect focuses on expression and the physical beauty of the characters.

The actual itself is a touch vague, but there's just enough there that you actually know what's going on.

Basically, it's just like watching a movie;  you obviously know what's happening, even if the extra-personal details aren't shown.

(This is my personal favorite type, and how I, myself, write scenes.)

This also comes in varying degrees, ranging from soft-core all the way to 'that-makes-me-blush-even-when-I-watch-it-alone.'

Even with some emotions included, these scenes are all about the visuals!

They very clearly describe every detail, leaving nothing to the imagination.  This is also where your threesomes, , etc.  comes in.

It's just like watching a o;  you can see everything.

Discovery Channel :

Also comes in varying degrees, but the range is much smaller.

Contains aspects from the first two types...and then some.

This type of makes you feel more like your're getting an education....and can possibly make you feel very uncomfortable.

It's like watching something on the Discovery Channel;  it makes you go, "Ohhh~, so that's how that works!"  or  "Ohhh~, so that's why that happens!"

I'm not saying any of this is wrong.  Not at all.

People are completely entitled to like what they want, and I actually think it's great that such a huge range can be found on AFF.

This is all simply an observation.
