Personality. 

   Maemi can be very tempermental and flirtacious whenever certain situtations come around. When she doesn't get what she wants and when someone disrespects her ideas, her clothing, or the way she even talks she will come up with a sarcastic,straightforward, and snappy comeback that will send them back and apologize quickly. Maemi does not like to be teased by people she does not know or else she will argue with them in a intense discussion that she will not back down on. She can be very rude and hurtful in these situations because she is too stubborn to let it go. However, when she sees a boy that she thinks is cute and giving her attention, she will create any opportunity for him to notice her more while smiling at him, batting her lashes, or going over to him and ask him of useless things just so she can talk to him. She uses her innocent-girly routine that fits well on her on the guy and she usually succeeds in using her charm to capture the boy. 

However, Maemi is very generous and spirited;Despite that she gets on girls bad side for flirting with guys they like, they can't be rude and disrespectful to her face because she is too kind and caring, always doing the simplest and little things for them with a warm smile. They don't even do anything for her but Maemi makes sure to take care of the people she's around daily and helping out as much as she possibly can. Though Maemi does not like conflicts, drama always seems to come to her. Background. 

   From the start, Maemi's life was a bit difficult. Having two fathers made her get picked on and questioned by her teachers and classmates. Despite that it wasn't rare for a gay couple to be in Tokyo, the citizens just weren't used to a child being raised by them. This was the only thing that threw their neighbors and Maemi's teachers off but also the fact that Haruo, Maemi's father, was a tranvestite. Maemi remembers,though, that her father was never troubled by the stares nor the hate-comments that he recieved every time he walked down the street or picked up Maemi from school as a woman. As a baby, Maemi was oblivious to the world around her because she was loved deeply by two people who loved each other as well. It was her happy family despite that she was raised by two males. 

When Maemi was old enough to speak, she asked many questions about everything! She asked why the sky was blue, why ladybugs had spots on their shells, and why Haruo looked like a guy inside the house but a women whenever they went out. It was a long process and intense discussion, Ken being calm the whole time but Haruo fearing that their daughter would hate him and the relationship with her other father as well but all Maemi asked was,"Do you love Oto-san?" When Haruo said yes in his shaky tone, Maemi giggled and hugged both her dads causing Haruo to burst into tears of happiness.

As Maemi grew up, she was outcasted as a child by the other children but when she entered middle school, she gained many friends and boyfriends. She was like the human-pikachu because she would enter a room with a bright smile and she would look her best, girly and child-like because of her small-frame and be a ball of energy for everyone. She did get into many conflicts with girls because she caught the attention of guys who were popular but she hid her true feelings and coward away from the girls.

 

Maemi had decided to study abroad in South Korea because she had an "episode" where her innocent and cute image was wrecked because a cold boy had criticized her craft-work and she blew up at him; She screamed in his face with a few curse words here and there and stormed off after she was done. She felt that she would never be the same person in her classmates eyes again because of her outburst so begged her parents to let her study abroad in Seoul,South Korea. 

They didn't want her to leave just because of the event but they decided that if she could still recieve good grades while studying abroad for two months, then she could stay and continue studying. Once Maemi got to Korea, she was filled with excitement and joy because she loved the street-style fashion and the boys were awfully cute; The culture was very easy for her to adapt to and she enjoyed it greatly because it fit her appearance. She was very comfortable in Seoul by one month and going to school was easy for her to handle. Though she was in her first year at the high school, she enjoyed it well and learned a lot of things such as dancing and studying Korean language and Hangul. Maemi changed her name but her personality was still the same.

One day in class, Maemi was hanging out with her friends discussing about what they were going to do for the summer and her friend said that she was going to try to go to a summer camp. Maemi became interested because she wanted to meet new people and see what camping was like sense she lived in Tokyo. Maemi asked her friend where she signed up at and soon, she was aplying for it as well.

Interactions. 

   Kris is the cool and cold cabin leader that Maemi met at the summer camp. Maemi was trying to find her way to her cabin after getting unfortunately lost from the rest of the new girls entering the camp and was completely lost until Kris find her. It was a weird experience for Maemi,honestly; It was her first time ever being nervous and shy around a guy but he was extremelly taler than herl and silent but the way he stared at her made her want to collaspe on the spot. When Kris heard her stuttering confession of being lost, all he did was walk straight ahead with Maemi following him. She was able to to get a few words around him and she was surprised to hear him laugh when a bug flew on her and she freaked out (only because she thought it was a bird) completely.

  Since then, Maemi had tried use her flirting -tactics on Kris but it never works because she would become scared and nervous then run away. But when Kris sees her around camp, he always ask her if she would like something from the cafeteria or if she would want to hang out with him and his friends. Kris is a nineteen-year old cabin leader for the boys but when he is off duty, he'll usually see if Maemi is in her cabin and free so  they could walk around the camp to talk or he would read to her under a tree.

Interactions. 

 

Dongwoo and Maemi met at a dance class that was being held in Seoul right when Maemi moved to South Korea. From first appearance,he was judged the small gir that stoodl next to him which happened to be Maemi and he scoffed in his head because he thought she would never be a dancer.  However, when the music started and the dance instructor told everyone to show him their dancing skills,Maemi popped and locked in every direction and her hips rolled with her chest beating to the rythm of the music. Dongwoo blinked a few times and at the end, he was one of the people that clapped for her. After that, Maemi and Dongwoo had become really close friends. Maemi would laugh at his jokes and his expressions whenever he was laughing then hang out with him outside of dance class.When Maemi told Dongwoo that she wouldn't be dancing in the summer because she would be going to summer camp, Dongwoo decided (and enthusiastically) that he would join her and come also.
