Guide: How to search fanfics that do not have EXO
Searching non-exo fics in the homepage will get you nowhere. To give you an idea, here is a list of possible EXO-related tags:
exo | exom | exok | the member's stage and real names: minseok luhan kris yixing chen tao joonmyeon baekhyun chanyeol kyungsoo jongin sehun xiumin lay suho d.o. kai | the pairings: 132 possible couple names using their stage names; 252 possible couple names for both stage and real names: {(17x17) - [(17 self x self) + (20 stage x real name of same person and its reciprocal [ex. xiumin x minseok])]} = 252}| pairings with a lot of other kpop groups | odd exo-related tags from 925 to 2025|
One sure way of finding fanfics that do not have EXO is to search the old fanfics from 2009 - 2011. BUT IT IS POSSIBLE to find fics of our favorite groups without exo. We should just be smart on what to put in the four precious spaces of the excluded tag section.
If you are looking for INFINITE:
search tag: infinite
excluded tags: exo | infinteexo | exofinite | exoinfinite
*note: you can already find infinite-only fics with 'exo' as the only excluded-tag but just to be very very sure, exclude the other three as well.
If you are looking for SUPER JUNIOR:
search tag: superjunior
excluded tag: exo
If you are looking for DBSK:
search tag: dbsk
excluded tag: exo
If you are looking for SHINEE:
search tag: shinee
excluded tags: exo | exok | taekai | exokm
*note: shinee and exom-tagged fics come with the exotag so excluding the exo tag, automatically excludes the other. the exokm tag exists.
If you are looking for f(x):
search tag: fxband
excluded tags: exo | fexo | exoband | kaistal
*note: you'll still find fics with exo members, because some authors just use their individual names, but this set of excluded tags more or less work
If you are looking for A-PINK:
search tag: apink
excluded tags: exo | exopink | exo00romance | exok
If you are looking for BIGBANG:
search tag: bigbang
excluded tag: exo
If you are looking for 2ne1:
search tag: 2ne1
excluded tag: exo
If you are looking for MBLAQ:

DO YOU GET MY DRIFT? I could go on and on and the excluded tag will still be the same.
I know how frustrating it is that exo is almost everywhere. But, really... they're not. It is possible to find non-exo fics. You just have to type 'exo' in one of the four precious spaces of the excluded tag search feature of AFF. A fic or two with odd exo-tags might appear here and there, but at least you narrowed down your search. Also, if you want a featured fic that does not have exo as main characters, UPVOTE fics that don't have exo.
BUT If you are looking for SNSD:
IT AIN'T POSSIBLE with 2012-onward fics
*note: the exoshidae shippers have couple names. 12 x 9 = 108; multiply that by two depending on whose name goes first, 216 possible combinations. keeper used exo and exoshidae but fics with only couple names appeared so... haha. go back in time and search the 2009-2011 fics.
/At least you are not trying to exclude fics from your search. Just as how some of you can't read het fics, I can't read and yuri. And let's leave it at that.
