Appointment #2 with the MSA (Surgical clinic!)

SO! Great news, the doctor told my mom today, that even though she is T4 which is Stage 4 cancer, it has infected the lymphnodes around the and underneath the skin, hence the skin reaction, that it is indeed STILL treatable. He said we caught the cancer early enough that there is still much we can do, but they will just have to take a different approach on treatment.

He did tell my mother she would have to get a masoectomy of at LEAST the infected but it is entirely up to her if she wants to remove the second one. She is already considering it as the insurance will pay for reconstruction and she will be able to live normally with two s, just without the risk of the cancer coming back.

The doctor said that her kind of cancer has good qualities like it is treatable with estrogen and different types of hormone therapy and that it seems the cancer hasn't moved through the channels under her armpits to infect those lymphnodes as of yet, so it's early enough. He said they could even stop that already by removing all of those lymphnodes and the ones across her sternum, so there would be no chance of further infection.

All in all, he told her chemotherapy could take away the cancer to the point where she wouldn't need surgery, but he would advice against not going through with it as the cancer would still be there, just shrunk to the point where the stage is not recognizable.

SO, everything is kind of looking up. The doctor was really cheerful about it and he said there was a VERY good chance she will be healthy.

Tomorrow we go see the oncologist and find out how much chemotherapy she has to do, but the doctor said at least 6 weeks, then surgery and last but not least (If needed, Radiation. but he said they would all meet and see if that was necessary.)

Ugh, it feels like all of my prayers are finally being answered. I feel like my mom is going to be okay and she finally feels the same way.

Thank you guys for your undying support in this tough time, I don't think I would be as STRONG and HAPPY if it wasn't for those who have given me words of hope. Each and everyone of you are so important to me. I can't thank you enough, my mother can't thank you enough.

I wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas and THANK YOU so much for being by my side through this and being there for me to talk to.

Just thank you.

(Sorry about the lack of updates, between life and work, it's been HECK. So I will push them out ASAP. I have been writing them.)
