I've been here on AFF for a bit, but I haven't really said much about  myself beyond what I stick into my profile, and not all of it is really relevant information to anything. So this is just a post, sort of introducing myself and my habits, likes, dislikes, and whatnot. If you've ever been curious about me, this is probably the post to read.

Basics
My name is Lilly. My birthday is November 26, 1990. I am actually twenty-three years old, and not thirteen or fourteen, whatever it is lol. The joke about me being born in '99 was actually me typoing my birthday, taking nine years off my life. I'm notorious for making really bad typos, so please feel free to point them out in my writing when (not if because like taxes and death, they're a sure thing in life) you see them. I won't get offended and I'll fix them.

I'm from the United States. Texas to be exact. I don't fare well in cold weather. I also like moonlit walks on the- I'm just kidding. I like rainy days, old book smell, book hunting, collecting journals and fancy pens, and writing stuff. I wander aimlessly a lot too. I have a younger brother and an older sister, and a niece and a nephew.

On Fandom
My main fandoms are SHINee, INFINITE, EXO, and now most currently, VIXX. These are the groups that you'll probably be seeing me use as main or central characters for fics. Others from U-KISS, MBLAQ, etc will make appearances, but I don't really know them as well, minus probably Seungho from MBLAQ because I use him for everything lol. I'm also getting into History right now too.

My main biases are Lee Jinki (SHINee), Jang Dongwoo (INFINITE), Kim Jongdae (EXO), Lee Jaehwan (VIXX), Yang Seungho (MBLAQ), and Jino (the SM Dungeons). I have a lot of bias wreckers too, and for some reason I seem to ship them with my biases most of the time hahaha.

Main OTPs (pairings I will probably ship until I die) are Jongyu (Jonghyun/Onew) from SHINee, and 2woo (Dongwoo/Woohyun). I haven't really been into the other groups long enough to have an OTP. But that being said, I'm open to all pairings! And of course, I ship idol/you ;)

On Writing
When I write, I write. The only audience I have in mind when I'm writing is myself. I write because what I want to read isn't there. If I write something that I wouldn't want to read, I don't really see the point in writing it. I read and revist my own stories all the the time, to remember my thought processes, to remember the reactions my friends had when they read it, to remember my stories. My fics are almost like timelines for me.

I write almost exclusively AU and fantasy. I have lots of grand ideas, and not all of them I can word properly. I apologize for lack of clarity in my writing sometimes, and I'm working on improving it without my words and worlds becoming too heavy. World building is probably one of my favorite things to do. Sometimes, all I do is build worlds and then stick people in them to see what would happen.

I usually try to finish stories I start, but inevitably, I'm going to lose inspiration. I like to finish them before that happens, but my life is busy, especially with me going back to school and working full time as well. Updates may vary in length and posting, but I'm trying.

And now I'm going to take a moment to let you know some of my pet peeves when it comes to writing and reading fics. I almost never read fics now unless someone asks me to, or if it happens to catch my interest in the ten seconds I browse before giving up. I don't mind avertisements on my wall, but it annoys me when people apologize for the "spam." If you're gonna do it anyway, there's really no need for an apology. You can recommend the most popular writers and fics in fandom to me, but if the story and material doesn't interest me, I'm not going to read it. You don't have to be the best writer in the world for me to love your story. You could be amazing technically, but if your plot is boring, I do not want.

I'm a pretty nice person until it comes to plagiarism. I had a problem with a plagiariser here that stole Lost in Love on my Livejoural and posted it here to AFF. My readers alerted me, and I absolutely HATED the way the moderators dealt with it. Why does it say plagiarism will not be tolerated if all they're gonna do is tell them to remove it, give them an entire week to do so, then give them a slap on the wrist if they claimed they were "hacked." I just. I don't understand. I am so wary of plagiarising, and for a writer, it's the worst feeling in the world. You don't really know what it's like until you experience it yourself, which I hope you never do.
