with the release of exo's christmas album and stuff, i've been thinking... wow. sm really is a moneymaking machine (well i mean, that's the purpose but i've kinda re-realized it). they're the big 3 entertainment company (if not the best, to be honest) for a reason.

so... i'll take exo for an example.

they release craploads of teasers to get potential fangirls crying over themselves in a frenzy, then they debut with mama. their popularity wasn't as great as pre-sm idols (in korea, anyway... internationally, they were pretty popularish). then, they go in like a yearlong hiatus and keep fangirls in a frenzy and crying and howling about "OMG WHERE IZ MY OPPARZ Y DEY NO COMEBAK".

then they release their usual SMP (SM performance) kind of song (and let's be honest, it was one of a song. performance was great but song lol i still cry at its lyrics), BUT BECAUSE OF THE LONG WAIT IT'S ENOUGH TO MAKE FANGIRLS PULL OUT THEIR OVARIES, CHUCK THEM OVER THEIR WALLETS AND BUY ALBUMS AND . 

THEN, they release growl, which was really decent of a song and unlike sm. it was more wide-audience targeted, and like they had wished to, they got REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY popular. i doubt they would've gotten the big awards with just wolf. and voila, super rookie of 2013 they are!!!!

and finally, with the christmas album, their title track only has three of their vocal lines singing. this leaves the impression of "oh, exo CAN sing" to the public (though i have to say you have to question at least six of their vocals).

without sarcasm... gotta give it to sm. you guys are $$$$$$$$

i saw a picture of smtown a week or so back and LOL there were so many people in that small photo that i couldn't even recognize faces TROLOL
