so i have mixed feelings when it comes to bdc's lives... mostly because i feel as if jongdae's carrying the whole tune (he kind of is, really) and how it's obvious that nerves are a factor that baekhyun and kyungsoo have to get over. jongdae usually has some nerves, but he's also really good at making sure they don't show and not allowing them to affect his performance. 

kyungsoo's part bores me and i know some of it might be due to him just having a boring part, but a lot of it is due to him being nervous (the most out of the three). and you can tell, because when he sings, he's like ramrod straight, barely moving while at least chen and baekhyun move their arms and crap, making them a bit looser. while kyungsoo sings decently well, him being like he is, is effecting his performance. it shows a bit in his singing and it definitely shows in his performance. it's as if he doesn't want to be noticed or something with how much he doesn't move. i know it's not a requirement, but when you present something, being able to move just a little bit (hand gestures, some head movement, maybe some foot movement here and there if needed) makes the presentation a bit better and makes people pay attention to you. 

while baekhyun, who's doing pretty well for this, is also being held back by nerves. his performance being a bit lackluster as well. but at least he's a lot more interesting to watch than kyungsoo. but baekhyun has usually been a bit shaky with lives due to nerves, and it's not only effecting his performance, but the others as well. 

jongdae is probably doing the best out of them, singing as well as he can and doing as much carrying as he can, but when you have a team where a lot of them aren't performing up to par, it does affect your performance. if people are , it's most likely the rest of the team is as well. and this case definitely is applying to their lives. they're doing decent, but none of the performances are outstanding. and it's not like i know they can't sing or know they can't do lives, but they aren't bringing anything and it's all because everyone is doing ty. (yes, jongdae is probably doing the best of the three, but you can tell he's being affected by kyungsoo and baekhyun's performances as well.)

and it because if everyone was doing well, then the whole thing would be good. jongdae wouldn't have to carry the other two and would have an easier time singing, while kyungsoo and baekhyun would be able to support each other as well as jongdae during their song. these three are a team right now and it's as if they're not even trying to work together and that's what's bringing their whole performance down. 

they may be stars, but if they all can't work together and support each other, then the performance is lacking. (and it is lacking. especially since jongdae is usually one that never has to try to hard to reach certain notes, but in this, you can tell he's reaching a bit. and it's all because the rest of the team is letting him down. while baekhyun, who i think is afraid to mess up because his voice cracks on occasion is letting the team down. and kyungsoo, with his nerves is letting it affect his attitude and bring the others down as well.)

they are good singers, they have talent, and these performances are not them showing us what they can do, but what they can learn. which is a good thing, because they do need to learn a few things when it comes to lives (and sm is pretty ty at letting them do that sometimes), but it's also a terrible thing because you know they can do better and for them to give some lackluster lives .

(the first one i wasn't going to say much since they were sitting and being able to sing while sitting takes some skill, especially for a song like miracle in december. but the second one, they got to stand a bit more, and you could tell that their performance needs a lot of work.)

i don't know if they're nervous because it's just them three or if it's something else. but when you had jongdae and baekhyun doing really well on immortal song, blowing everyone's expectations out of the water a bit, you know they can do well. i know kyungsoo can do well if he doesn't let his nerves take over him. and since i know all of this, these performances are a bit of a let down for me.

i still believe that jongdae's the best of the three with this song, especially for lives, because jongdae is pretty impressive at doing lives and having a steady presence on stage. but i also know that jongdae loves exo and loves kyungsoo and baekhyun and views them as a team, and just like any team, everyone has to contribute to the game to win. and right now, i might be a bit harsh here (and hopefully not too biased), but kyungsoo and baekhyun aren't bringing it. 

because if they did, they would have no problems doing this song well. they would be interesting. jongdae would be able to sing well without being affected by them, causing him to reach for some of his notes. (especially since the only time that jongdae usually has to reach for notes is when he's beyond nervous or is letting the others affect his singing. and usually it's the latter, because as much as i hate not seeing jongdae do solos and get his chance to do something like that, i know he's a team player.) so really, all three need to come up with a way to combat each other's nerves so they can finally give some better performances. 

i know they can do well and impress others, but as of right now, they're performances are just okay. (and i hate saying that because i know all of them are good singers and can give a performance that will make people want to watch and like them. but as of right now, they're lacking just a bit.)
