"If your bias was caught in a dating scandal, how would you react? How would it affect his/her career?"
The article was written in October after the dating scandals of several kpop idols broke out. I still find it ridiculous how they are considered scandals but I don't want to be a hypocrite. Here in my country, celebrities deny dating rumors also but paparazzis are persistent. We do have Buzz ng Bayan and other showbiz news programs but the don't have a dating ban, except the kids and teens of course. It only becomes a scandal when they break-up because of another man/woman. Hoho.
Moving on, let's answer these questions.
Question 1: "If your bias was caught in a dating scandal, how would you react?"
[given that I have a bias and it wasn't his gf who revealed the relationship in twitter or other social networking site and brought up the issue for the third time now #someonestopher.]
Keeper: "How could you get yourself caught like that?! No worries. I will blog about this in AFF and comment in Netizenbuzz even if I get harassed and hated and downvoted! I will make a new password for tumblr because I would have forgotten the password again. I will tweet. I will explain or try to shake some sense into some people, just in case your company messes up with their statement. OTL."
Serious mode on: I wouldn't be surprised. It is what I hope for him - to experience life. I would have liked it if he revealed it himself... and not caught. Anyway, I'd honestly look up the girlfriend in google search, just to know more about her and hope that she loves and cares for him and vice versa. I'd be happy. There was a time that I belonged to a fandom and had a bias. I said that... "My stories are my wishes for the artists in it and for everyone who reads it."
Question 2: "How would it affect his/her career?"
Keeper: I agree with the writers interviewed in the above article. This would depend on the sanity of the fandom. But because I don't have a bias so I have no reference fandom. Their career is hugely dependent on their fanbase. The regular k-netizens and public is not his main source of income. It's the fans who would buy concert tickets, albums and other merchandise. It's the fans who would vote for awards and increase their digital and physical album sales. Fans do not own them...but idols need them in order to survive in the entertainment industry. [That said, I hope Inspirits are sane enough to support the group in spite of everything.]
