Personality: When you first meet Yaeyoon, you will either find her awesome, annoying, or endearing. She's extremely outgoing and talkative, and she will not hesitate to include people in conversations and events. She's the super nice, super popular girl at school that has a horde of people surrounding her. However, that is not always a good thing. She's just a little too optimistic and cheery, and doesn't do well in solemn or serious places. She's always itching to break silences and get people talking, even if they don't want to. She likes telling silly jokes and can be childish. She's also not comfortable being alone in any situation, and has to have at least one person with her at all times (excluding the bathroom). Yaeyoon is clingy and doesn't know when to act serious. Although she has many friends, she only has one close friend.

 She is an extrovert and loves trying new things. The catch? She will only try new things with someone else by her side. She claims that she wants to make special memories with the person, but she's actually pretty scared. Yaeyoon has been raised by the motto, "you must take risks to get what you want". She isn't an introvert deep down inside, but sometimes she gets tired of constantly being energetic and making the first move. She's pretty stubborn and if someone rejects her offer of friendship, she will try again, and again. She's rather emotional, as well, and cries easily from tragic events. Although she acts as if insults don't hurt her, she is somewhat self conscious and will be hurt. When she gets mad (takes a lot for it to show), she will usually smile and try to jokingly tell the person off. People don't usually take her seriously then. 

With friends and family, she's sort of protective. She'll act tough, she'll promise their safety... But she's mostly bite, no bark. Unfortunately, she can't - or won't - do much to help in physical protection. Yaeyoon also believes in the motto, "things happen for a reason". Although she might not follow it sometimes, she uses this motto to cheer others and herself up - or, attempt to. If somebody pushes her down, she won't get up and push them back. She'll just get up and walk away. Basically, she can fight back in words, but not really back things up. She rarely ever picks fights with people; instead, she'll just keep her negative thoughts of them to herself. She can be quite snarky and sarcastic in her head.

He's very open minded and can talk for hours with a stranger. He's very protective of people, even strangers. However, he isn't afraid of using brute force if needed. | 9/10 | He's not usually home, but his friendly, open minded nature did affect Yaeyoon. They usually talk freely about things, and Yaeyoon doesn't hide aspects of her life from him.

Mother | Yang/Lương (formerly Bùi) Bảo Vy | 47 | October 22nd | owner/cook at a Viet-Korean fusion restaurant | she's a stubborn and feisty woman, and won't back down from anyone. She won't take crap and will lash at anyone who dares insult her or her family. | 8/10 | she always reprimands Yaeyoon, telling her to speak in Vietnamese when around her. She is very protective over her first born baby, and smothers her with food and hugs.

Younger Sister | Yang Yaena | 15 | February 19th | student | She's rather spoiled and is addicted to her games. She is a hardcore gamer and will show symptoms of withdrawal when away from her precious Starcraft. She is very antisocial and cold. That's right, she's the younger sibling that will complain to you whenever they aren't doing their own thing. | 3/10 | Maybe it's the ages, maybe it's their personalities - but their is no doubt in anyone's mind that Yaena and Yaeyoon don't want anything to do with each other. They used to be closer, but now, they bicker and argue all the time. Yaeyoon rarely argues, but the minute Yaena steps into the room, she can't stop herself from spitting out spite.

He is pretty emotional and can overreact to things, and he is also very sensitive to insults. | They attended the same elementary, junior high, and high school. She was a sunbae, but also a bit of an outcast during elementary (because of her Vietnamese half and her shyness). He came up to her and talked to her because he was bullied a bit, too (his  lips). | 10/10 | Even though he is very busy, they always find time to hang out, go to amusement parks, or just talk. They tease each other and can ramble on and on about things to each other. They can talk about the weather or their deepest secrets. 

Bang Minsoo | 21 | November 4 | Teen Top's Leader | Minsoo is an awkward turtle with a few violent tendencies. He's a bit of a dumby, but that's okay. At first, he looks like a gang member, but then he smiles, and everyone wants to huggle him. | Because Niel is her best friend, she must meet his boyfriend. It's like the ancient law of best friends. Niel introduced them one day, and casually asked her, "So, you know how I'm gay, right?" And proceeded to explain how he was dating Minsoo. | 8/10 | Minsoo's rather awkward around Yaeyoon, but it up to make his Niel happy. Yaeyoon often pesters him with things such as, "are your kisses making his lips bigger?" to "you better treat my bestie right!" Niel and Yaeyoon sometimes gang up on the poor man.

Han Soojung | 20 | December 2 | College student | Soojung could be called Yaeyoon's shadow. She goes along with whatever others say and hardly has her own identity. | As soon as Yaeyoon became more popular and outgoing in Junior high, Soojung approached her and clung to her forever. | 6/10 | Yaeyoon mostly keeps in touch with her because of pity. Things can get pretty one sided, because Soojung barely voices anything that goes against Yaeyoon's wishes. Yaeyoon is slowly trying to get the poor girl to decide things for herself and say no when she really doesn't like things.

The Journey

Background/History: Yang Yaeyoon was born on July 18th, 1993, at 8:23 pm, to an airport security officer and a Vietnamese war fugitive. Although she was born in Ansan, her parents had lived in Seoul prior to her birth. They returned to Seoul as soon as her mother was fit to. She was raised with both languages, Korean and Vietnamese (with tiny sprinklings of Cantonese, courtesy of her mother's father). When she first attended school, people had a hard time understanding her, because she often spoke in a mix of the two. When she came home, crying, her mother had to speak in all Korean around her. Yaeyoon eventually was able to differentiate and keep the two languages apart. When she was five, her younger sister was welcomed into the world. She was overjoyed to be an older sibling and pampered her sister as much as she could. 

 When she was in Junior High, she realized that she didn't want to live a mundane life. She wanted to shine on a stage. So she begged her parents to let her try out for various companies. At age 12, she was rejected many times due to her lack of skill. Dejected, but still hopeful (thanks to Niel's words of encouragement), she attened vocal lessons with her best friend. When he was accepted during Andy's Choice Auditions, she congratulated him and continued to work hard. A few months later, she was accepted into Woollim Entertainment. After receiving low marks during a trainee assessment, she was determined to work harder. When Niel debuted, she was jealous, but was still extremely happy for him. She gained higher marks, but was still not close to debut. That same year, she dropped from Woollim and joined J.Tune.

Previous Company: Woollim Entertainment ; 2 years spent (2008-2010)
Pre-Debut Experience: While in Vietnam for a vacation (age 14), she was recruited to model briefly for Elle Vietnam. She is on only two pages. 

Trainee History: In Woollim, she was treated fairly well. However, she was a bit of an oddball in the company, as most of the female trainee were powerful vocalists, while she had a much weaker singing voice. She wasn't bullied, but she sometimes felt as if the other females were laughing behind her back. With J.Tune, she got along with people better, but didn't make any close friends. She socialized a lot, but kept to herself (if that makes any sense).

The Netizens: Thankfully, Yaeyoon had been mostly out of the spotlight her whole trainee life. Pretty much everyone believes that Jaehoon is her fraternal twin. There is some speculation of them being cousins or look alikes, because of Yaeyoon being half Vietnamese. Some people think that Jaehoon is a full Korean that just so happened to look like her. Yaena isn't very social at all, so almost nobody knows that there are only two daughters in the Yang family. Only Soojung is suspicious, but doesn't voice anything.

Style: Yaeyoon loves layering. A shirt won't do - a short with a jacket must be worn! She has many sweaters, jackets, vests, scarves - anything she can layer with. Style: She does her best to look like a bigger person when a guy. She doesn't want to be too slim as a dude, or else people may find out. She wears loose tees and baggy sweatshirts and sweatpants. Honestly, she doesn't try to look fashionable as a guy. She just wants to look as boyish as possible. She'll wear pretty much anything that is deemed "gangsta", with the exception of baseball caps. She hates how they collect sweat on her forehead - plus, they could possibly mess with the wig. She wears a lot of hightops and other platform type shoes with shoelifts, as well.

Extra: While rapping and talking, she has use a deeper voice, which can be hard when she's really excited. Also, as a guy, she curses more easily. Soojung oftens talks to her of how hot she thinks Jaehoon is and how she wishes that Yaeyoon would introduce them. Soojung is actually suspicious of the two, but Yaeyoon doesn't know. She just avoids the subject as much as possible.

How they met: They met while Yaeyoon was in Woollim. Granted, they were brief meetings, but they did talk a bit. Yaeyoon thinks that he's cute, but they didn't really interact much past simple pleasantries. 
Relationship: Yaeyoon wants to become Sungjong's friend and talks a lot around him. He generally doesn't talk with her when she is herself. They talk a lot and bicker when she is Jaehoon, however. For some reason, he is uncomfortable around her, but is completely at home when she is dressed as a male. He doesn't know that Jaehoon is actually Yaeyoon - quite the opposite, in fact. He believes that Jaehoon crossdresses as Yaeyoon, and the reason why Yaeyoon was moved to J.Tune was because of his crossdressing tendencies. It's a rather strange belief, but he always found Yaeyoon a bit fake. She was too cheery and too friendly. He ignores Yaeyoon, but sometimes glances at her briefly. Jaehoon, he jokes around and teases him a lot, but always throws in things like, "Haha, you sure like acting girly."

Bai Xue: She admires Bai Xue because of her strong personality and how she has a family as well as an idol life. Yaeyoon is a big fan of Bai Xue's singing, and she can be a bit of a fangirl for the older woman... In fact, she sort of idolizes her. 

Vanessa Hwang: Yaeyoon likes Vanessa, and loves telling her silly jokes (even if the girl doesn't get them). However, she doesn't like it when Vanessa goes on about the mind and the brain and whatnot, because she finds it somewhat boring. Yaeyoon mostly rambles and talks on and on to Vanessa, perhaps not letting the other girl talk...

Cho Jini: When they first met, Yaeyoon didn't really like the nagginess. But seeing how playful Jini could be, Yaeyoon warmed up to her a lot (and no longer grumbled, "this naggy mom is getting on all of my nerves" in her head). She can still get a bit annoyed at Jini, but gets along with her more.

Nam Hyojung: Yaeyoon first thought that Hyojung was a little bit too guarded. She smiled just a little to say that she was happy, but you didn't know what it meant. But after hanging around Hyojung more, she found the girl to be more confident than she realized. Yaeyoon got Hyojung to open up more and likes talking to her.

Kim Hyunsook: She thinks Angie is pretty cool, but resembles her sister. Strangely, she gets along well with Angie. She sometimes voices her own snarky thoughts around the maknae. They fangirl a lot, but sometimes argue about otps.

Jung Yoonhee: She likes to hang out with Yoonhee and tell jokes with her, but isn't necessarily very close to the girl. Especially with her tendency to blurt out secrets.
