Personality Traits: Emotional, Energetic, Defensive, Clingy, Clumsy

Personality: Yaehyun acts confident, self assured, and bubbly. Well, he is mostly bubbly, but is somewhat insecure and emotional. He hates it when people insult him and will get very defensive. He's generally friendly with people and likes to make good impressions, but you can usually tell if he's annoyed with you, if he speaks sarcastically and rolls his eyes a lot. If he likes you, he'll cling to you and follow you around like a lost puppy. But he'll become a growling bulldog if someone he likes (friends, family) is insulted or threatened. Of course, he's not very strong, so he'll be really scared, too. He's like an open book, with his emotions clearly displayed across his face. He is offended easily and cries when sad and frustrated. When angry, he has a bad tendency to curse and kick things. He is also somewhat naggy.

Around close friends, he's usually the overdramatic in a funny way drama llama that screams when a spider comes near or squeals when he sees something cute. He talks a lot and usually sounds bright, happy, and energetic. He's most likely going to be in the center of the group. He's a bit clumsy, but most friends find it endearing...or so he hopes. He's not clumsy because he has two left feet, it's because he's constantly thinking of something - from how tall he is compared to the people around him to whether or not his voice will crack during a performance. He's often told he's disrespectful to elders, but he can't help it much. He tries to be polite and respectful, and his words certainly are - but his facial expressions can give his feelings away in a heartbeat.

Background: Yaehyun was born as the youngest child to Jeong Jinhee and Jeong Minjun. He was tiny and pudgy and downright adorable, so they spoiled him...a bit too much. He grew up throwing tantrums and the only people that complained were his siblings. His parents decided they had to discipline him, so they tried. He no longer threw tantrums 24/7, but he was still the younger siblings that you had to keep happy...or else. Once at school, he had little to no friends, so he tried to be less negatively emotional and more upbeat and bubbly. He couldn't completely rid of his negative emotions, of course, but by trying to act more cheerful, his peers came to him. His grades were average (even a little bit below), but he was content with his friends and school life.

In middle school, his parents signed him up for a bunch of extracurricular activities so he could find his passion. Out of all the things he did, singing and painting were the ones that stood out the most. He continued taking art and vocal lessons, and of course, dreamed of becoming an idol. His grades declined as he continually neglected cram school in favor of going to noraebangs or idol concerts. His parents, having always spoiled him, let him drop out from high school to pursue his dreams. He tried out for many, many companies (JYP, YG, SM) and was rejected (age 17). Dejected, he holed himself into his room, feeling sorry for himself the first six months. His older brother often brought him food and tried to give him pep talks. His sister yelled at him, "Showbiz is harsh! Don't expect to be accepted the first few times!" The next six months, he had pulled himself together and was working on his dancing and singing. He tried out for various companies once more and was finally accepted into Woollim when he was 19.

Style: Yaehyun loves layering. Sure, graphic tees are nice, but what's better? Graphic tees with scarves and ed plaid on top! He particularly favors darker colors that slim his body down, but will wear almost any color. His closet is also filled with skinny jeans; most of them are the faded type, such as a light blue thigh to a darker blue lower leg. He also loves adding accessories, such as necklaces and earrings. Moreover, his hair must be done at all times when he goes out.

Personality: Sungjong may seem very feminine and sweet...but he's not. He's got his hyungs bowed down at his feet and can beat anyone at a game of sass. He's confident, commanding, and cunning. He can trick everyone with cute smiles and adorable aegyo...but he's a diva. He's definitely stronger than he looks, as well. He can dance girl group moves with the best of them, but he's part of the most well known in synch dance group. He's a little bit vain, but who can blame him? He's a bit whiny as well, but he has a sharp tongue and will not let anyone insult him. He cares for his hyungs, but most of the time, he's pissed off at their idiocy.

How you met: While hanging out with Sungyeol, they had the stupid idea to prank Sungjong. They snuck into his room and began to hide his underwear in random places in the dorm. Sungjong, of course, found out...and got his revenge. Sungyeol's coffee was spiked with curry powder and Yaehyun's turtle plushies were no where to be found.

Interactions: after the first incident, they both bicker a lot. They sometimes punch each other in the arm and trade insults, but they're pretty close, so that they're not actually insults to harm. They're more teasing insults. Both enjoy skinship and hug a lot. Sungjong gave back Yaehyun four of his plushies...and Yaehyun has one of Sungjong's underpants (creepy!). They love watching variety together and trying to cover girl group dances. Usually, they hang out with Sungyeol, too, but sometimes it's just them.

Trainee Years: 3 years

Trainee Life: When he was finally accepted, he promised himself to work hard. He worked extra hard on his dancing and rapping, his two areas of needed improvement. His voice was already pretty well trained, having taken lessons throughout his life. However, when he danced and sang, his voice would fade. He usually stayed in the building training late into the night, working extra hard so he could debut faster. He only went home on the weekends, and most of that time was spent sleeping. He lost a lot of weight during his trainee years, almost to the point where it was unhealthy.

Yaehyun was teased for being short, even from dongsaengs. He hated it and almost considered dropping out, but he got mad at himself for even considering it. He stayed on and continued to train for a long time. Thankfully, he became good friends with Sungyeol, so a lot of in his face bullying stopped. He practiced his dancing and vocals the most, and even managed to do the splits. He was still a tad clumsy, but only if he wasn't paying attention. He worked on vocal expansion and falsetto to make sure it wouldn't fade out while dancing.
