Ouran High School Host Club!!! You'll love it! I promise!!! xDDD There's an anime version... So.. Go watch it!!! xD Other romance animes I like is Maid Sama.. OK, I can only thin of these two.. xD
For me I've read one called Tail of the Full Moon which is set in the Feudal Japan. There's also pretear (my absolute favourite) Tokyo Crazy Paradise which has a girl who is a body guard of the leader of a mafia, Fushigi Yuugi is really sad but well drawn and written.
Othello is pretty interesting. It's a girl with a double personality and I'm currently reading Skip Beat, Siwon and Donghae from SuJu acted in the Taiwan drama version ^_^

ouran high school host club! vampier knight! and skip beat is my favourite! :)( well i have only watched these since i hardly watch anime, but the plot interested me when my friends told me about it :P )
The first two are anime sites and the second is a manga site I usually check. There are a lot of good mangas out there. If you wanna give it the time, I recommend Naruto as a great Shounen manga, but with those beautiful themes. However, there are other anime/mangas like Bokura ga Ita (We Were There), Marmalade Boy, Ultra Mania, Hiyokoi, EF A Tale of Melodies, EF A Tale of Memories, CLANNAD, Goong, Chihayafuru, Kimi no Todoke, Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny, etc... I really have watched a lot of animes, and read tons of mangas. Those are the ones that come from the top of my head. A funny one is Yostuba. It's really cute...
