What can the moderators do? [UPDATED]

Moderators. The team of volunteer users that help run the site alongside the administrator. It is their duty to investigate any reports that come in from users and visitors alike, regularly check the blogs for users in need of help, and step in where their involvement is necessary. They had certain duties and carry them out on a daily basis.

They can ban users. This means that your account will be suspended. This only happens in case of serious and/or repeated TOS violations (such as repeated plagiarism, bullying of other users, inflammatory posts, etc.)

They can place an Rated M marking on a story, in case someone has forgotten or foregone rating their story. Asianfanfics must stress the seriousness of properly marking stories; users under the age of 18 years old are on the site, and laws of the United States require the site to use these ratings. It is initially left to user discretion, but if a moderator feels a more mature rating is needed, they will proceed to correctly mark the story.

They can mark any story with a Trigger Warning. This is the new alternative to banning a story, which was done in the past. Rather than completely squash the creativity and freedom of the authors on Asianfanfics, this was proposed and is still in use. For a more detailed look on this rating, please visit the blog post covering it.

They can ban any story. Plagiarized stories, stories that contain content violating the Terms of Use, or malicious posts unrelated to fanfiction will be banned and removed from the site listing. This does not affect your account in general, with the exception of repeated plagiarizers.

They can hide blog posts. This basically means that the moderators force it to become Private so that only the creator of the blog post can see it. This will happen if the blog post contains content violating the Terms of Use, or is inflammatory towards (see: bashing) another user.

So to sum up, these are the "extra" features the moderators have. Aside from their responsibilites and duties, they are just regular users who are here to read, write, and enjoy the overall AFF community! ^^

Hello! Welcome to AFF! This is really fantastic, thanks for posting this! I'm just wondering, will the NSFE blog post be up sometime soon? I'm still a little confused about it and it would be wonderful to get some clarification! Thanks so much ^^
