Why Keeper is still awake

Five days ago, conchobar shared his top six must-see kdramas. It turned out that three of which are already in Keeper's long list [I Hear Your Voice, Shut Up! Flower Boyband, Reply 1997]. While I am so happy and feeling accomplished with the progress I made with my movie list - three or four more to go [Catching Fire, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Frozen, and possibly Ender's Game] to completion, my kdrama list just keeps growing and it has been that way since 2012. OTL.

The last kdrama I watched from beginning to end is Spring Waltz back in 2007 because it was aired in our local channel [ABS-CBN]. And it was because dad was watching it. While my sis and I love our animes and mom, her Spanish and Mexican telenovelas, my dad watches kdramas. He introduced us to kdramas. The final episode of Save the Last Dance was the first kdrama episode I have seen. Anyway, he was home when SW aired its pilot episode.

I rarely finish a kdrama. In fact, the only other kdramas I completed are He's Beautiful, Princess Hours and Playful Kiss [I blame my sister for that marathon. Ughh. I don't like Oh Hani. OTL.]

Anyway, back to SW. Another reason why I decided to continue watching it is my two year old 'brother' [he is my mom's godson]. He was humming a familiar tune one afternoon. We were in the living room. Mom asked him, "In-love ka na ba?" [Are you in-love?]

And he promptly replied, "Di pa." [Not yet]

I almost deleted a huge chunk of the report I was typing. I gaped at him while Mom was laughing hysterically.  He had this shy smile on his face while Keeper's brain was trying to cope the information it received. How did it happen that baby knows how to answer that question when he just started talking? He was giggling and my mom kept teasing him while I am pretty clueless to what just happened.

Later that night, his mom told us that baby wakes up at 10:30 in the evening to watch Spring Waltz. And the tune? It was One Love, the drama OST.

The next day, when baby came to visit [he is always here], I played the OST and waited for his reaction. Goodness. He was smiling so wide and he did a little body shake. [Kinikilig lang]. My mom asked the same question and his answer was the same. So I continued watching because of baby.

Time skip to 2013, So far, I've seen the first episodes and the last episodes of Gu Family Book because of Wolryung and his love story; first seven episodes of Nail Art Paris; selected episodes of Rooftop Prince. Ehehe. Then I Hear Your Voice became really popular, especially in Netizenbuzz. IHYV made it to my list. I got curious one day but I don't have time to watch. So I searched for episode summaries and found one in dramabeans. I realized that reading recaps is more convenient. I read recaps until the last episode.

conchobar's list prompted me to look into mine. So three nights ago, Keeper searched for english subbed videos of IHYV only to stumble upon another kdrama. OTL. OTL. Major life ruiner. I stayed up late for two consecutive nights watching The Heirs. A guilty pleasure. I went to dramabeans first and as I finished reading second episode, I knew I would never be contented with just reading. I confess that it isn't about the plot for me XDDD It's mostly the characters aka Lee Minho xD And a tiny bit of curiosity about their backstories and relationships with each other. Oh, Eungsang's mom is really cool. I like her. Young Do scares me but I also pity him. Bo Na is so funny with her jealousy and remarks. Very blunt. Needless to say, I find Bona and Chan Young cute together. I still feel a bit of a disconnect with Eunsang. I don't get her at times. I hope that Tan and Youngdo stop being so possessive. I still have issues with the whole elite high school setting, aside from the fact that none of them look like high school students except Bo Na and then the prince loves the pauper plot... but ehe, it is so obvious that I let everything slide OTL I like what I see ^3^ I can't help it.

Don't tell my mom.

And then my sister downloaded all episodes of When A Man Falls In Love. So I stayed up again until I reached the fourth episode. OTL. But the difference is that, I couldn't watch one episode of WAMFIL straight. I would pause several times before continuing unlike in The Heirs. I am getting tired with Mi Do's limited to no facial expressions - if not stoic, she is stoic and teary-eyed OTL Still bothered that only her lips move. Anyway, my sister just completed all twenty episodes. She saved it in her phone. And she basically told me the whole story when she arrived. HAHA. I still don't like Mi Do. OTL. She still insists I watch everything.

I am not watching The Heirs or WAMFIL at the moment. but the second ep of The Moon That Embraces The Sun. Idk if I like it. I'll be checking the other dramas in my list in the following nights...

I've only got a handful of dramas i've finished. I almost finished Flower boy next door but i didn't. Same with Queen inhyun's man and a lomore i can't remember. I just don't have that much time to watch and when i do, i get irked by plot loopholes. The last drama i was able to finish was reply 1997. I'm waiting for the heirs and reply 1994 to finish because i have no patience with the weekly schedule. XD

I watched When A Man Falls in Love because my mom watched it (because Song Seunghun is the lead) and I hate everything about the drama. Song Seunghun's character is so, so /kind/ to Mido to the point he became a man who helplessly and blindly falls in love to a wrong woman. Mido character is....... sigh. I wish I could kill a character. lol

I have watched WAY too many Kdramas. I've lost sleep over them, hehehe.

I hated Playful Kiss with a passion. She is the most spineless heroine on earth, and he is just a jerk, no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Didn't go past like the 4th episode.
