“A-yo wassup! Chemmy imnida!” She’s a bubbly person. She loves to smile. She’s the happy virus among the members. She loves to throw some jokes to brighten the day. She’s very talk active. You won’t see her being quiet on reality show or something like that. She’s the one who can make the whole studio laughing. Her warm aura makes everyone want to be close with her. She’s a type who easy to make friends, no wonder she has lot of celebrity friends. The fans will see her always smiling, throwing hearts to them. She won’t reject you if you want to take picture with her, even if she’s tired. She thinks about the professionalism as an idol. Her fans’ smiles are her spirit. She’s a tomboyish girl who doesn’t really like cute stuffs. She loves to wear sweatpants and loose shirt to walk around and basically use clothes which makes her comfortable to move since she’s an active girl. She’s also good in fighting in some emergency times. But even though she’s a tomboy girl, she can easily cry when get something that really touch her heart. But she won’t cry in front of public and run to an empty place instead.

“Ugh, just don’t let me slap you…” Yes. She’s sometimes a bit harsh, especially when somebody ruins her mood. Chaeyeon is a normal human too, aight? Don’t talk something bad to her when she woke up early in the morning. She’s extremely on bad mood condition when wake up early in the morning. Just let her get some morning bath first. She’s also a perfectionist girl. Everything should look perfect in her eyes. She pays more attention to small details. She won’t let any small mistakes ruin her hard work. Because of this, she prefers to work alone than work in a group because it was easier to avoid those small mistakes that would appear when doing something. In other words, she's sometimes can be an individualistic girl. She’s also a revengeful person. She can’t easily forgive someone. You might make a mistake on her and apologized to her. She will say that she forgiving you but she wouldn’t give you another chance to be around with her. She still has some “strange feeling” about something that you did in the past.

“When on stage, I am…” She’s not Chaeyeon anymore. She’s Chemmy – The other side of her, the charismatic--fierce side. She’ll show her 1000% charm on stage. She really enjoys her performance. She won’t let a small thing ruin her precious performance. Even if she’s sick, she won’t show it to the fans. Because she believes that no matter how’s her condition, her fans only want to see her best stage. She doesn’t want to see the disappoint faces of her fans. She really likes it when the fans chanting and cheering loud, it will be her spirit-booster, to show them more charm of her performance.

She was born in South Korea but then her family moved to Canada and stayed there for about 16 years. Canada was her grandmom's hometown She lived there until she was 16 years old. She started to fell in love in music when she was 7 years old and after saw her father’s performance by playing guitar while singing. She found out that her mother has great ability in playing guitar and singing on stage. Her parents who knew that Chemmy was fell in love with music, then put her into a music school. In the school, Chemmy’s academic rank increased. She was able to play some music instruments such as piano, guitar, and drum. When she was 17 years old, she moved to Korea; to her mother’s hometown. One day, she accidentally saw a performance of hip-hop dancers in a mini concert. She fell in love and started to dig more information about hip-hop dancing. At first, she learnt it by autodidact. But then, she found a dance club that matched with what she wanted. She joined the club and became a permanent member. Inside the club, she became very famous because of her breakdance and her popping dance ability. From this dance club, she was able to be a back-dancer of Big Bang and 2ne1. One of her friends who found out about Chemmy’s ability then offered her to took an audition in Stardom Ent. for their newest girlgroup project. Chemmy agreed and took the audition.
