RANDOM: Ethics & K-Pop
Before you start reading this post, I must assure you that this post is not used to mock, accuse, and pinpoint someone.
This is purely a thought of mine that I will love to share with all of you here in AFF.
I know AFF is not only for K-Pop, so if you're not a K-Pop fans, this is actually appeal to all music lovers. Please note that I also listen to English, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Japanese songs. :)
There is this one thing that sometimes I find a little bit inappropriate whenever I watch videos on Youtube or somewhere else.
The latest example I saw was the comments on the winners of MelOn Music Awards 2011.
Personally, I appreciate all nominees and congratulate all winners of the awards. They deserve the awards after their hard works.
I thought it's something necessary considering we, who watched the awards, are music lovers. Then again I can't ask for everyone in the world to have same mindset with me.
Being straight forward, I really hate it whenever I read comments that bash idols by comparing them with other idols.
Each idol group has their own specialty.
So I don't want to compare them with another idol group. From here please note that my favorite idol groups are only Super Junior and BEAST...
but when another idol group wins an award or announces as a real good idol group, I never bash them. Not even once.
Why?
Since I am a fan of Super Junior and BEAST, I know about their training days. They went through hard times before finally reach this successful state. I know other idols went through the phase as well.
No matter how much you love your idol, you must respect the other idols.
Don't you think your idols will be disappointed if they know their fans bash other idols, which are basically their friends, using love as a fan for the reason?
I don't like it when people bash my favorite idols so I will never, never, and never bash other idols.
Even though they are not my favorite group, even though their styles are not my preferences, I respect them; both themselves and their music.
This principal is as easy as ever to understand; if you don't want someone to hurt you, then don't hurt them.
If you don't want people to bash your favorite idol group, then don't do it. In my opinion, those who give harsh comments (including anti fans) are they who are not mature yet to understand everything.
Remember that the idol groups work really hard to be our role models, showing their love to us as their fans, and will we blow away their love by bashing other idols until they apologize for us?
There are ethics everywhere.
Even as fans, there are things we need to pay attention to if you really care for your idols.
I will not ask everyone to agree with me but I really hope that at least we respect everyone properly.
Thank you for reading. :)
