Background :

Nayoung is a Thai girl born in Bangkok on 1st March 1991. Since child, she is close with her mother compared to her father. Her family support everything that she did and is open minded. You can say that she was born with a silver spoon in mouth. Her family is influential and well known. She is the only child, so she is treated like a princess at home. The way she speak and behave is taught well. She won't curse and don't even remember if her parent ever curse.

The family moved to Sans Fransisco when she was 7. During her elementary year, she was given a private tutor,  learning English from the basic. She didn't go to normal school as she lived there. She always want to study at school like other children there. Since she is the only child, she feels lonely and nothing at some points. Her parent noticed that and decided to let Nayoung doing something that won't make her feel alone again. They decided to enrolled her in a modern dance class at the age of 11. That was the time where she discovered her passion for dancing. She was a fast learner and her dance teacher find that amazing. From 11 till 12, she not just learn about modern dance, but also ballet, comtemperory, popping, locking, breakdance and hip hop. Her teacher call her Litle Dance Genius.  She became more brigther, open and active during these period.

The family moved to Seoul, South Korea when she was 13. In Korean, she was enrolled in Korea Kent Foreign School. She was an active student during her school years in Korea and she get herself some award due to her academic achievement as well as her cocuriculum. Language barrier aren't as much as a barrier since the school was attend by foreigns and Koreans who majority talks in English there. Talented girl, she excels in sport, study, rich and well taught mannered. But all of those things make her feel burdened, insecure and the thought that she must keep those qualities with her. Dancing was the only thing that she feel free and comfortable the most.

She is the most feminine in appearance of all the members associated with affection, care and trust. She is gentle mannered and sincere. She also has a compassionate nature, is sentimental, sensitive, understanding of others' faults and quick to forgive. She is an honest person and sometimes she do not think of what she is saying and how it will be taken by other people. If she thinks she has hurt someone, she is full of remorse of her tactless. She didn't mean to hurt people with her act, it just comes naturally. If she promises something., she means it and she expect others to be likewise. For a reason she is sometimes too trusting. How you met : When she was in SM bulding during trainee years. She was literally standing right next to Taemin in a lift. She was scared, she was really nervous because Taemin is actually her ideal type. She didn’t know how to approach him or if she should just give up and ignore his presense. Taemin was busy with his phone until the lift opened up and Taemin walked out. Jane walked out too and she felt like he was walking farther and farther away from her till she said “Taemin” he turned around and smiled, nodding to her and bowing in such a respectful manner. She could had just say something but seeing his smile, she was bewitched. She just snapped out of it after Taemin walked away from her since she didn't said anything. She regretted this with all her heart, just why can't she say something to him.

How you act around each other :  It feel weird when Taemin try to befriend with her at first, at least that's what Nayoung felt. Nayoung don't even dare to look at Taemin on their first "date" or meeting as a friend. He always the first to start a conversation everytime they meet and she feel more comfortable everytime. Soon they become a good friend and Taemin know that Nayoung is his fan by chance. Taemin often says that he got a crush on her dance. He never hesitate to show his endless love to anything or anyone he loves. He's softhearted, kind and has mature side on him. How you met : Met at a dance competition held by SM for the rookies there. Nine Divine competed too in the competition, they will be debuting few months after that. How you act around each other & why is he a love rival? : He tends to fight with her all the time and always winning. Their interaction is like cat and dog and sometimes people wonder if they are really friend. Nayoung always try to be a good friend with Tao. How did you get in the agency? : When she arrived in Korea from States, she was lost for awhile. It's her mother who suggested for her to try her luck in entertainment as her parent already know how talented their daughter is. She was a bit worried since she isn't fluent in Korean, she raps song in English for the audition. She auditioned by rapping Miss Independent by Neyo and dancing to Ring The Alarm by Beyonce. The people who judged her performance was a bit taken back when they watched her dance.

How were your trainee days : After she was casted into Woollim, she trained for a year with other trainees before she was selected as one of few first members who will be joining a new girl group named "Divine Nine". After being selected she was feeling grateful as she knew each of them more every single day. Trainee days for her was a living hell, she had to live in a dorm and being bullied by "senior" trainees there.  They always asked her to do these and that. And here comes the language barrier as she just moved into Korea at that particular time and she isn't Korean. Things gotten worst when people start knowing about her rich and influential family. She managed to get through trainee years thanks to Woohyun who always there. To be honest without them she might be bullied by other worse. She did tell her mother that she is having a hard time there but didn't bother to tell more because don't want her family to get worried. As for giving up is a no no to her, cause when she decided to do something it's almost impossible for her to stop halfway.
