131024 Super Show 5 in Manila

I often write stories, poems, speeches, and other stuff coz I love writing… but I’ve been having troubles since yesterday thinking of what to write down about this. I find it hard because there’s just too much I want to say and at the same time I can’t put to words the things I felt that day!

If you ask my parents, my close friends, and a few of my officemates, they’re all aware that the main reason I looked for a job was to save money to buy a VIP ticket for SS5Manila. Seriously. And because of that, any topic about Super Junior puts my parents on edge. They discourage me from buying a ticket almost worth Php10,000.00 for just a few hours of concert.

But then last SJCon2 a crazy thing happened. I won a VIP ticket! Problem solved already!

And the craziness didn’t stop there. A lot of things happened. I was suddenly one of the admins of Kangin’s fanbase here in the Philippines. And last SJFiesta, I was the one who launched the fan project. And of course all the preparations prior to the concert.

The main event happened October 24, 2013…

When the lights turned off… and there was a roar of excitement from everyone. There I stood beside Mariel… we were both quiet and wide-eyed. I didn’t need to ask her what she was thinking about because I knew we were thinking about the same thing: Is this really happening?

To answer our unsaid question, the intro video started.And then the curtains lowered down. Silhouette of the boys stood in front of us and after a while the curtains went up. AND THERE’S SUPER JUNIOR.

The concert started! We snapped ourselves from our stupid trance and started to scream with everyone else! I couldn’t contain my feelings, I jumped when Heechul and Kangin were near!

And then a heartmelting thing happened! After they performed Boom Boom from the 2^nd stage they went to the 1^st stage. Of course, they used the walkway to get there. Our spot was directly in front of the walkway, at the left side. And as it happened, we were surrounded by PETALS!! YAAAY! So they all raised up the banners for Heenim as the boys passed by. And there I was, in the midst of Heechul banners, I held up my Kangin banner high. As I saw him get near, I shouted “KANGIN! KANGIN!!!” to get his attention and let him see my banner!

IT WAS A SUCCESS! I GOT HIS ATTENTION. And not only that. KANGIN SAW THE BANNER, THEN HE LOOKED AT ME, HE WINKED, KISSED HIS THUMB AND POINTED TOWARDS ME.

I was in the middle of screaming his name, but after that freakin’ wink and thumb kiss, I stopped dead and stood there wide-eyed while still holding up the banner. Mariel looked at me and snapped me out of my stupid paralyzed state.

And then I shouted at her “WAS THAT FOR ME!!!???”

Mariel laughed hard and shouted back “OF COURSE!!!”

I looked around and tried to see if there was anyone else spazzing coz that y wink and thumb kiss might be for them… but no one else seemed to have the same reaction as I did.

So I asked again “WAS THAT FOR ME???!!”

And with another laugh, Mariel said “YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE HOLDING A KANGIN BANNER HERE!!"

Mariel managed to take a fancam so I turned it into a gif >:D

And so the next song was done, but I was still in a state of shock.

Good thing I recovered my senses and continued to take pictures of the beautiful boys on stage! I had troubles in taking pictures especially when Heechul and Kangin are far away from each other. I wanted to take pictures of them coz Hee’s my ultimate bias, KangTeuk’s my ultimate OTP and I’m an admin of PrectionKanginPH XD To top it off, I needed to take pictures of Hyukjae too for my sister! So if you see my fancams, it’s focused on Heechul and then Kangin and then Hyukjae xD

Then out of nowhere, Donghae stood in front of us, grabbed the camera of the girl beside Mariel then took a picture of us! After that he stood up, took another picture including himself and then spun around holding the camera in front of his face! Donghae returned the camera to the girl and then ran around the stage. We all looked at her and her expression was priceless!!

Heechul, being the evil diva that I love, had this mood of ignoring the shouts and calls of the PETALS in our area! He always pressed himself in front of the camera just a few steps away from my spot but he never stayed long! He knew that majority of the ELFs in our area were his fans so he had a good time and ran around the other areas XD He really is KIM HEECHUL.

My mind was blown during the crossdress performance! I always thought that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the fan project for Kangin because we’re going to raise up the banners during his crossdress solo… and I know that I have a VIP 1 ticket which is the walkway area… and I thought that Kangin would appear on the 2^nd stage. But NO.

Siwon appeared on the left side of the 2^nd stage while Ryeowook appeared on the right side.

Then all of a sudden, Kangin (with this precious chair) appeared right in front of me!!!

“KIM YOUNGWOON! KIM YOUNGWOON!!” I screamed my lungs out while everyone else screamed “KANGIN!”

My hands were shaky and I couldn’t breathe again, just like after the thumbkiss! I was able to take pictures but they were all blurred out!

To Hebteuk, I know I promised I would grab Kangin’s if I get the chance… sadly the distance from the railings and the stage are way past arm span… so maybe this will do? >:)

The concert went on and I took a few videos and more pictures. I felt like crying during their K.R.Y. performance especially when Yesung was shown in the screen. But my heart broke even more when the next song was Daydream (I AM CRAZILY ADDICTED TO THAT SONG) and then my camera blinked saying “BATTERY EMPTY”. I was like WTF! IT’S ONLY HALF-WAY THROUGH THE CONCERT!! YOU CAN NOT BE EMPTY!!! But there was nothing I could do. The cam was freakin’ dead. So I continued to watch the concert holding my banners for Heechul and Kangin.

Then I had a crazy moment with Lee Donghae as well! While the VCR of the boys wearing Superhero costumes was being played, I asked Mariel “Should we use the water guns now?” coz you know, we bought water guns >:) It wasn’t allowed inside the arena but we managed to bring it in because we hid it very well in our bags. Mariel agreed so we took out our water guns!

The boys started singing Wonder Boy wearing their dorky costumes! My target was Heechul and Kangin! Well, mainly Kangin coz Heechul wore a bear as a costume so he wouldn’t notice it even if I target him on the face. So they started to walk towards the 2^nd stage and I wanted to test my gun if it could reach them (although I’m already on the railings and it’s just a little bit more than an armspan away from the stage). I pressed the gun without paying attention to who was in front of me. I looked up and saw Hyukjae. He got surprised when the water splashed on his face. He stopped for a while and looked around. I shot again. He laughed when he saw me and then pointed at me. Hyukjae continued to walk and then I saw Donghae behind him. I didn’t know why I did it but I shot the water gun at him too.

Donghae raised his hands, as if he’s being robbed xD and then looked at me. He saw the water gun in my hand and gestured that I give it to him. I shot again and he gestured again like a demanding little kid (soooo adorable!) so I said “I’M SORRY! I’M SORRY!” coz I didn’t want to lose my water gun… I NEED TO SHOOT KANGIN!

But of course who could resist the cuteness of Lee Donghae? I had no other choice but to give him the water gun. I reached out as far as I can but it didn’t reach him so he gestured that I should throw it. I’m very stupid when it comes to throwing things, so as expected, it didn’t reach his hands. Donghae looked down and then he saw Mariel’s water gun so he gestured for that one too. Mariel threw her gun but it didn’t reach again!

Good thing a staff picked up my water gun and then gave it to Donghae. The water spilled out when it dropped so he took it with him. I didn’t notice that Kangin and Heechul were right in front of us because I was keeping an eye on Donghae and my water gun! He went to the area where they have water bottles prepared and was starting to refill the gun when he dropped it on the other side of the stage. There, my water gun… gone forever.

As for Mariel’s gun, it landed in better hands! Just as Sungmin was passing by, a staff handed it to him. He took the gun and tried shooting it but of course the water spilled as well. I laughed like a maniac when I saw Sungmin’s long pout when no water came out from the gun! He picked up a water bottle too but didn’t have time to refill it coz the song was over… so he just walked away with Mariel’s gun in his hands. Mariel’s ultimate bias is Sungmin by the way. I literally pulled her hair while screaming “SUNGMIN’S HOLDING YOUR GUUUUUUN!”

During their performances, I grab every chance when Kangin walks by, I would raise up a banner!

At first I would scream out his name like crazy, but then afterwards I was surprised when he would just look my way every time he passes by o_O maybe he already established the fact that there’s a crazy girl there always screaming his name xD

Most of the time when Heechul’s quite far away, my eyes would stick to Kangin and I couldn’t remember how many times I uttered “Damn, Kangin’s so y when he dances.” XD SERIOUSLY. KANGIN’S SO Y *drools* and I couldn’t control my laugh during their ment and they’re facing the VIP3 section so all we could see are their backs… and Kangin would just put his hand on his -pocket even if nothings there xD It looked so adorable!

Before my cam died Kangin stood near our spot with a bottled water... and then splashed it all over us!

Here you could see how he just stood there, readied the water... and there's my camera all wet XD good thing it's waterproof! XD I didn't wipe my face dry I just let it be coz I was Kim freakin' Youngwoon who splashed them >:)

I couldn’t forget the time when he slowly walked in front of me and I raised up the KangTeuk banner. It was automatic already that Kangin would look my way even if I don’t call out his name so I just raised it up and waited for him to look. And then he did. He was smiling and when he saw it he stopped for a while. I stared at his expression and it broke my heart. There was still a smile on his face but I saw his eyes changed. He looked sad. He didn’t look at me, he just looked at the banner and then went on. I went quiet after that and never raised up the KangTeuk banner again.

What made me extremely happy was the fact that the fan project for Kangin was a success! We didn't get to raise the banners during his crossdress solo, but some pipz over the Lowerbox waved the banners while they were singing Memories. Some fan accounts said that Kangin was teary-eyed and he even wanted a copy of the banner! :") HE APPRECIATED OUR EFFORTS AND THAT'S MORE THAT ENOUGH FOR ME!!

During the MARRY U performance, we asked the camera man near us to place the bouquets of flowers on the stage. They were intended for Sungmin and Heechul. When Sungmin walked by, he stared at the flowers but he didn’t pick it up. Heechul walked at the other side so he didn’t notice the huge sunflower there waiting for him. Good thing when Ryeowook walked by, he picked them up! Such a little sweetheart!

The boys laughed when they saw our response for the proposal. The other countries flashed banners forming “I DO”… but we… we posted a banner saying “LET’S MAKE BABIES” XD Hyukjae couldn’t get over it! He kept on repeating “BABY BABY BABIES BABY” over and over again as they laughed!

“Last time we were here, we said that the Philippines was the loudest,” Henry said in English “after tonight, Philippines… IS STILL THE LOUDEST!!”

We all screamed as if the concert was just about to start xD

“Don’t you guys ever get tired?” Henry asked.

WE SCREAMED SOME MORE!

We could tell that the boys were all happy and they were all hyper with us! What melted my heart was when the whole arena chanted the “Milky Skin Kim Heechul” chant… and after that everyone chanted “KANGIN! KANGIN!” I was nearly in tears when I heard that! *Fanclub admin soft side*

The forever rebel Kim Heechul during their bow, well, still stood up! We weren’t able to make him bow… but we were able to make him kneel down on his knees, y knight style! O.o He even had a solo stage! I WENT CRAZY I WANTED TO PUSH THE BACK-UP DANCERS OFF THE STAGE XD jk

Before the concert ended, they all walked towards the 1^st stage. So it’s banner time again! The PETALs with the Heechul banners, Mariel with her Sungmin banner, and me with my Kangin banner. I raised up the “It’s more KANG-IN the Philippines” banner and when he was near, of course he looked. I did my best smile and waved. KANGIN FREAKIN’ WAVED BACK WITH HIS FREAKIN’ EYE-SMILE.

In some parts of the concert, Mariel cried, especially during K.R.Y. And most people shed tears. I wanted to cry but nothing’s coming out.

When the concert was over… that’s when everything flooded into me.

All the struggles we went through for months. The tiring job hunts so that we could save money to buy a ticket. The criticisms we got from everyone. All the tears we shed when we fought because of little things added up with the pressure of the ticketing.

And even the struggle on the exact day of the concert. Up to the last minute, Mariel and I never escaped the pressure of stress and nervousness.  We went to the venue at 7am, and the gates would open at 5pm. I almost suffocated because of the crowd… I easily get suffocated if there’s no air brushing on my face… but nobody could complain. The countless stampedes we experienced before entering the arena and on our way to our spot.

All of those were forgotten when the concert started… but when the concert ended they all came back… but with a different impact.

Suddenly I couldn’t contain it anymore, I hugged Mariel tight and cried in her shoulder. All I could say was “TE…” (that’s what we call each other. It’s short for “ATE” w/c means sister) I cried and cried but I couldn’t put to words the exact reason. All I knew was that when the boys left the stage, my tears began to fall.

I hope I didn’t forget anything important o.O

Well, that’s my fan account on what happened that day. It might sound like a fan fiction but I can’t help it, that’s the way I write things. All of these are true though whether you believe it or not, I have the all the proof I need here in my forever ELF heart <3 (and fancams ^^,)
