❝ 2013 mama awards are a jokeee.
at least, that's definitely how it's starting off in my eyes. I'm just going to start off by saying if you stan exo, leave this blog post because I'll most likely piss you off, unless you can keep an open mind. I'm sure exo fans are thrilled to see that exo have been nominated in so much this year and even more so that their crazy fandom has been voting like mad since the voting opened last night and exo are winning (in votes) in everything they're nominated in. I don't think this would annoy me if it were any other group. I'm not in any way saying exo don't deserve to win awards, because that would be callous and unfair of me. however, the fact they're one; nominated for best dance performance and two; winning in that category?! it's a complete joke. they're up against the likes of infinite and shinee, who are known for how great they are at dancing, yet exo are up with GROWL? I'm not disputing that exo has members that can dance, and dance really well, like luhan, lay, kai etc, but their group as a whole? not so much. it just goes to show that nobody ing cares what their group is up for they just want them to win, and honestly, I don't think anyone should win male artist of the year besides shinhwa. if you add up the debut years of all the other nominees, it comes to twelve years. shinhwa alone? fifteen. fifteen years and they've been through so much and they deserve to win it after everything they've accomplished this year. exo fans have really, really ruined exo as a group for me. which is really sad because I like their music and their members. I know I'm grouping all exo fans together in this and I know it's not all of them, but the majority have given "exotics" a really, really bad name and it's not going to be easy to shake that off. I think they're going to be worse than cassies, and that's saying something. I'd be so embarrassed to be associated with a fandom like that, because of what the worst of them have done. it just upsets me. they deserve awards, but I don't think they deserve all of them, and I hope that the fanvote isn't going to make a difference to the judges. on a brighter note, I'm pleased bangtan are doing well as best new male artist and soshi are doing well in their categories. sigh.

ok you just took the words out of my mouth

i liked exo when they first debuted, i liked their songs, and i thought they had potential to be something good. but then exotics began polluting not only exo, but a lot of other groups, bashing them and superciliously pronouncing exo as #1.

though who's the "best" group IS a matter of opinion, it wouldn't make much sense for a bunch of immature fans like exotics to go on tvxq's classic-hit "mirotic" or shinee's flawless mr removed videos and start booing those said groups then boast about their own, and still expect to be well recieved.

especially since EXO doesn't exactly deserve a lot of the attention they're getting .__.
i'm not saying they're not good, but they don't have the dynamics, and they don't have the well-rounded abilities like legendary groups like dbsk and shinhwa have. they have 3 talented singers, 4 good dancers, with the others being just pretty faces (and no overlapping talents). they're still new to the industry, their popularity was extremely dependent on other sm groups that had to work their asses off to be able to perform on music shows, much less make smash hits (which are rightfully called smash hits).

idk. i think exotics as a whole would be worse than cassies, but since there's only FIVE members of dbsk, with unbelievable talent in each member, i think cassies still take the cake. the only difference here is that exo's fans are arguably younger, and more reckless. the cassies' fans were just plain creepers and terrifying.
