love at first sight?
wrote a little something that doesn't deserved to be called a story so i decided to publish this here instead. it's really short haha.
all it took was one, unexpected look and suddenly, you can't take him off your mind.
it's like you opened the door and the first thing you saw was him, in his own comfort and place and you remained frozen to the ground,
your eyes stuck on his face.
you took in his handsome features, the one EVERYONE had been ravishing about and you kinda just stood there quietly to admire it.
but soon you forgot him.
you forgot his features; his eyes, his nose, his lips...
you only remembered that he was handsome and how his hair parted to the side;
his leisure pose that of a young man wanting to take a break from work.
you also distinctively remembered how his eyes pierced through your soul that very first time but because of fear,
you hadnt met his gaze and instead walked away too quickly for your own good.
that moment would forever be a regret that you wished you could change.
and now, the whispers of his name would linger in your mind;
haunting you day and night and you longed for the moment you'll get to see him again.
it's like you've fallen in love, but this kind of love is dangerous.
you knew nothing of him, only his name and the one sided, insignificant memory you held close.
and even though you also knew how he had a dear one in his heart, you secretly wish he'll still look your way, no matter how minute it might be.
but your conscience prevents you from it.
your guilt is built on potential remorse.
and so you lied.
the man that was handsome became only a figure in your mind.
there was nothing special about him, nothing distinctive, nothing worth to ravish over.
he only had a handsome face.
and he will never be yours,
perhaps only in your fantasies.
thoughts?
i had originally wanted this to be some lufany angst but i decided against it and just went for optional scenario where you can even relate this to yourself rather than your biases.
