Description Help?

Hi everyone~! I know there's many talented writers here, and I'd like some help/advice on writing descriptions if you don't mind.

I have the plot of my story all planned out already, it's just that for some reason I don't know how to write the description. I want to get the reader's interest without giving away a lot. I have read tips from other AFF users that have writing tip posts, but they don't help a whole lot.

So can anybody out there give me (and others reading) some advice on writing descriptions?

Maybe you should view examples. It is a hit or miss for me. Here are some of mine,
1. from Claimed and Coveted
"Jong In is the Alpha's second son and on his 21st birthday, he finally meets his mate. It is supposed to be the happiest moment of his life but everything spirals down as a dark and powerful force attempts to take what is his.
All she ever wanted is to be accepted, to have a place where she belonged. But everything she had is taken from her the moment she is claimed and coveted."

2. Class Rule No. 3:
"When Professor Jensen laid down his last class rule, she found herself in a difficult yet odd situation.
Class Rule No. 3: No Sleeping in Class. If anyone is caught sleeping, the class will automatically have a graded recitation."

3. Just an assignment:
"If there is one thing she hated the most as a student, it would be working in a pair or group.
And that's just what she got.
Lessons will be learned with just an assignment."

Make them carve for more of the story ;)
Give them clues of the story.
Don't give 'too' much detail about the story *then the readers would know whats going to happened*
Use descrited words. Write a bit of the main character feelings. Hope that'll help ^^
