So earlier today was the "United Nations Day" and them , he was crazy enough to bring a white rose and suddenly give 'em to me! I. Was. Shocked. I mean, I didn't have a say! I didn't know how to respond, so Ricardo just took it from him and gave it to me. That damn mood-breaker -.-"

Science fiction can be related to aliens, idk just sciencey :P
Slice of Life is related to things in real life, like bullying, depression, eating disorders, etc. (like the other girl said)
Romcom is romantic comedy, which means there's romance but it's really funny along the way (Playful Kiss Korean version is like that-have you seen it?)
That's really sweet that he gave you a rose :)

Sci-fi is a type where you combine science and fiction... Usually has a bit theory that made up by you, i think. XD such as human live in the moon... And you explain how it works or why they can.

Slice of life... I'm not really sure. Maybe you took the main idea for things you could face in real life.

And romcom is a romantic story which is not heavy to follow. Can make you laugh aloud when reading it, but the main idea still in romance. I think! XD

And wow, that's so cheesy (?) and sweet... Hahahahaha. XD you must be happy then.

I think sci-fi is like those stories whereby there are tons of robots, usually taken place in the future
slice-of-life is a little angsty i guess? Like how people grow up and all those stuff about how to live life
romcon is romantic comedy, usually two people who dont match at all come together, have conflicts that are hilarious and then they fall in love. Thats just my view though, i could be wrong xpp

and also, im pretty sure he was unintentional but a white rose actually means death if im not mistaken. So uhh, check the meaning somewhere, and im pretty sure he really didnt mean it. Unless its related to the united nations thing which i have no idea on ><

What I think:

Slice of life normally means that there is a little reality mixed into the story. For example, stuff like suicide, disorders etcetera will be considered slice of life.
Romcom stands for romantic + comedy so it'll be sort of like a funny romance fanfic.
Sci-fi is, well, science fiction. Stories that are related to science are placed under the sci-fi.

Those are just what I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.
