personality: chloe is always lively and energetic, she's the person who can talk for hours if a topic that keens to her interest comes up. she has a bright smile that can either annoy or brighten you up, you'll wonder how this girl is always high-spirited in anything she does. she has this air of confidence that sometimes can be a bit intimidating, in a way even her presence can make a difference to the surroundings. chloe is always motivating, due to her energetic-self, when people starts to give up she'll start doing bunny jumps and cheering them on to continue whatever they're doing. it can be both annoying and endearing, there's something about her that makes people can't hate her for too long, maybe mainly because she's very optimistic and positive that leads you on.

also due to her confident nature, chloe can be persuasive- very persuasive if she wants too. not exactly categorized as a spoilt brat; this girl is highly opinionated and not afraid to stand for what she believes in. to get what she wants she'll go into her diplomatic mode and tries to find what can cater to the other party while she gets what she desired. she doesn't like to get into fights, hence when she senses danger from the other party she'll back off. but mostly, most of the time- blame on that bright and sparkling eyes of hers, people would give in anyway int the end. she also tends to be very emotional, she usually expresses whatever she's feeling; happiness, annoyance, anger, bitterness. thus, to onlookers who doesn't know her too well, they might see her as very whiny and demanding. but it's just her nature, if you get to know her well, she actually doesn't want to burden you with her feelings but just show it mostly as a disappointment on herself. she 's also not afraid on showing her affection towards someone, and if she has a crush on someone she might came off a bit desperate.

background: chloe is the first child of two siblings, born to a korean father and her mother is an american of filipino-korean heritage. her father was a scholarship cornell student and was doing his intern at a local vet in hawaii when he met his wife, a young and pretty well-known swimmer. they gradually fell in love and got married 3 years after her father graduated, settlng down at her mother's hometown in honolulu, hawaii. chloe was a very proactive and dynamic child, she loves to mingle and join whatever she finds interesting (sports, clubs, etc). her passion for fashion grows from the influence of her childhood friends who loves playing dressing up by stealing their older sisters' magazines. being the only daughter, chloe also loves shopping with her mom and her mother is more than glad to tend to her daughters' interests. when she was 14, her grandmother from her father's side had leukemia and her father had to visit his mother frequently. after few months, they decided to move to korea as the condition of her grandmother is getting worse. in korea, chloe had some difficulties in adjusting to her new school, being a native korean speaker yet was pretty accented and her lifestyle was pretty different from her classmates. her friendly ways always get misunderstood by being a show off. in the end, chloe decided to join the acoustic club to mingle around, and that's where she found some friends. chloe is currently studying at dongkook university, majoring in mass communication.

trainee history: it was the year 2009 that one of her friends from the acoustic club asked her a favour to accompany her to the SM audition. when she was there while waiting for her friend, a manager spotted her and asked her if already fnished her audition but told that she only came to give support to a friend, only to be scouted right then. of course, with her 'why not?' attitude, she agreed on another special audition the next week and she got accepted. for her audition she brought her guitar along and sang 'just like a star' by corrine bailey rae.

still adapting to her life in korea that time, it took her some time too to adjust with her trainee life. she's pretty fluent in korean since she converses it at home with her parents but mostly bilingual, her korean is pretty american-accented and her pronunciation always been made fun of. trainee life was indeed tiring, but that doesn't crush her spirits. she also discovers her long-lost passion in dancing. since she already started it, she couldn't stop until she debuted as a star. she worked really hard as a trainee that her singing improved greatly.

personality: jongdae is generally friendly and has a very playful side. he loves making jokes, pulling pranks, and sometimes enjoy mocking s and friends. can be a bit sarcastic at times but if you know him well, it's pretty mush means he acknowledges your existence. he can be a bit indifferent towards his environment and sometimes shy around people he doesn't know well, sometimes self-centered but he's someone who secretly cares for s a lot. he's a bit traditional; more familiar in his family upbringings on values and culture. a perfectionist and somewhat realist. he's very serious when it comes to his career. he can be cocky about his looks at times but most of the times it was only for good fun.

backstory: it was when they were trainees, jongdae was in a group of three with chloe and another trainee in one of their singing classes. chloe was really friendly towards him since he was new, he was actually smitten and had a crush on chloe. but being new and generally intimidated by chloe he never actually had the guts to actually befriended her. but then he realizes chloe had this huge crush on another trainee, who sees her not more than a younger sister, and her clingingness somewhat irks him in a way (and of course he was jealous). it was few days later he was in a group with chloe again, and it was just a bad day for him that she took it on chloe when she missed a few notes, saying that he wonders why someone who trained for quite some time still couldn't perfect her singing. the class went quiet for a moment, until 0.02 seconds later chloe replied, 'well, maybe attitude needs to be perfected, at least she does'. jongdae was surprised with her answer, and maybe, even if he thought he started to dislike her that time, he actually subconsciously falling for her a bit more. 

relationship status: chen and chloe has this somewhat cat-dog type of relationship. they don't actually quarrel or bicker all the time, more like throwing subtle insults and being sarcastic towards each other. it was meant for annoy each other off at first, but then as time goes by it turned into something more pleasant, more commonly as if the insults became like cordial greetings to them. they became pretty close after chloe debuted and maybe when jongdae fanboyed over his taeyeon-noona a bit too much, she may or may not feel a bit jealous. jongdae, on the other hand, always try to get chloe to her senses about kris. she will always say she doesn't mind one-sided love, which annoys him more, but over time chloe finds him cute and just do it just for the sake of making jongdae pissed, although somehow she realizes she doesn't see kris the same way as before, and sees jongdae in a different light.
