The Art Of Henna
I love Henna art...It's a part of my culture to do the henna art on human body parts such as hands or foot. I think it's known as Mehndi in Pakistan.
Historically, henna was used for cosmetic purposes in the Roman Empire, Convivencia-period Iberia and Ancient Egypt, as well as other parts of North Africa, the Horn of Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, the Near East and South Asia. It was also popular among women in 19th-century Europe. Today, bridal henna nights remain an important tradition in many of these areas and certain people in my extended paternal family are still practicing it.
So you might be wondering why am I ranting about it. Guess what!?I have just convinced myself today to have my hands
Mehndi-ed.
It's my very first time on having someone else doing this Mehndi thingy for me. I normally prefer to wear Henna on my nails but since Eid is just around the corner so I was like, WHY NOT?? LOL
So yeah, pardon me for looking like I've been hit by a train. I've just gotten back from class when I suddenly decided to get Henna-ed. It was a pretty random decision XD
