The '2013 Korea Drama Awards' took place on October 2nd at the Gyeongnam Culture & Arts Center.  On this day, BoA received the best rookie award for her debut performance in KBS 2TV's two-part drama 'Hope for Dating.' With this, BoA has won her first acting award after debuting as a singer thirteen years ago, showing off her versatile talents!

BoA had been rejected numerous times from drama castings just because she was BoA.  After snagging the leading role in 'Hope for Dating' and winning an award for her performance, she is finally proving to everyone that she can be more than the singer BoA everyone used to know.  She is on her way to becoming an excellent actress so congratulations to her!

On this day, she also showed off her excellent sense of fashion by stopping people in their tracks with her gorgeous purple dress.  Check out the pictures below!
