personality: jianling is a very jovial person. even if someone might be sad, she will come to lighten up the day. she always cheers after her friends and helps them with whatever they need (that is if she can and even if she doesnt she'll do anything in her hands to make it done).

background: jianling is chinese born and raised in qingdao. her mother is from hong kong and her father from beijing. she is the oldest sibling; she has a younger sister who is three years younger than her. at the age of four, she took art of kungfu called wushu. however when her sister wants to take ballet classes, their parents decided to drop the wushu lessons and take both their girls since her father and mother were busy people and couldn't afford the time to drive to different places. jianling was sad at first but eventually started liking ballet which ultimately made her grow a passion for dancing just about any kind of genre.
both girls then went to the international school of qingdao. they were part of their performing arts club and jianling met many international students who became good friends. she learned korean and english while studying there. her passion for music showed as she hit high school, she also begged her parents to continue on her wushu since she was old enough to take a bus and go herself. she knew singing wasn't her forte however she started hanging out with two boys from her wushu class (one of them being tao) who liked rapping and she tried it out, to find out she had a gift for it and she actually enjoyed writing rap verses.

personality: minseok has an easy-going aura. just about everyone can get along with him. he is like a bottle of sunshine that you would like to keep in your pocket. he is very talented. he can dance amazing, rap if he needs to but what a lot of people don't know is how great of a voice he has. that part of him is yet to be seen and he can't wait for his fans to finally appreciate that part of him. he has a fatherly side to him, he feels like there is a sense of resposibility toward taking care of his dongsaengs since afterall he is the 'dage' of exo. he is very close to luhan who is the second oldest and even though they both are indeed the oldest among the boys, they act like children when they are together. even though he is a happy person, he can sometimes get a bit depressed and wonder if he was really worthy to be part in a boy group such as exo.
first meeting: minseok and jianling first met while she was a trainee and was looking for the dance room. she got lost and bumped into an also rushing minseok who was late to be at the studio. by minseok's deceiving looks, jianling thought minseok was chinese like her so she started asking him in chinese for directions in which he nervously tried answering her in his broken chinese. that's when she realized she had being wrong and when she once again asked in korean and he inmeadiately started explaining, the more evident was how wrong she had being. she said thanks as soon as he finished explaining and waved goodbye saying 'see you around' not really knowing when she'll be able to see him again.
interaction: after that day they met. a few months passed before they once again saw each other. they would just say hi but never really got to talk until year 2012 when exo debuted.they let a few of the trainees go to their debut stage and jianling was one of the lucky ones. after the debut stage, she went back stage and was able to talk with him and tell him how much she loved their music and how talented he was, making minseok blush. since then, they became good friends and they get to hang out every now and then and go eat with minseok, luhan, kris and more trainee girls that are friends with them too.

interaction: t-ae and jianling at first got along well but once t-ae realized the great relationship minseok had with jianling, she grew jealous and started making jianling's life a little bit of a hell hole. she would try to get minseok's attention in every way possible, especially when she knew they were going to hang out, she would try to stick around with them too and that really annoyed jianling cause she was keeping her relationship with minseok to take another notch.
