Personality : Yoo Jin is a very awkward, especially around people she doesn't know much about. She can be rather insecure and introverted, resulting in a bit of an isolated persona. She finds it easy to just disappear into the land of dreams, especially when listening to music or just bored. She is very imaginative and intelligent, and she spends a lot of her time drawing and making graphic illustrations.
She's a rather clumsy person, but not to the point where she falls over with every step she takes. Background : Nam Yoo Jin was born on July 8, 1993, to Kim Jang Hyun, a policeman, and Nam Soo Jin, a doctor, in Seoul, South Korea. She grew up as an only child with no siblings to play with, often resulting in playing by herself or with her mother whenever she was free. Her love for dancing came as she went to a dance lesson with a friend from kindergarten. She fell in love with the music and rhythm, wanting to do something like that herself. Her parents weren't overly excited about her newfound interest, but they did let her enter dance lessons as well.
After her father's death at 8, she occupied her time by trying out various school activities. She tried out for soccer, basketball, gymnastics, archery and karate. None of them really met her expectations, and her relationship with her mother was starting to slip as well. She really wanted them to be as close as before, but with longer hours and more focus on studies, it became too little time for "trivial matters" such as that. Yoo Jin posted videos of herself doing dance covers during middle school. She did American covers and popular K-pop and J-pop songs as well. This was where she was discovered by her company.
