What are you reading?

I still have lots of ebooks to read, like Rick Riordan's Kane Chronicles and all those cheap ebooks that I wouldn't list here since I don't know if they are any good. House of Hades will be released this coming October and I just finished Mark of Athena.  I am desperately craving for the book and I only have a month to wait unlike the other readers who have completed it a year ago, [almost, Mark of Athena was released October 2, 2012]. Ha. So this is how it feels like after a marathon of all Percy Jackson novels. Demigod Diaries is waiting to be opened but I'll read it after House of Hades. Must. Not. Disrupt. The. Flow.

Then there's Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's Beautiful Creatures series recommended by my sister. Included in the list is C.S. Lewis' Till We Have Faces. A friend here mentioned Haruki Murakami. So this Keeper will read The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. This book is in the recommended list of LitReactor.

I will not read Mortal Instruments coz my sis spoiled it for me with her comments -.- and the movie... well, I'll just watch the movies. Same with Hunger Games, haha xDD

I forgot who the AFFer was but she posted a list of books she read. I tried two trilogies in her list and was satisfied: Josephine Angelini's Starcrossed trilogy [Starcrossed, Dreamless and Goddess] and Allie Condie's Matched, Crossed, and Reached. I am not a big fan of first person point of view and switching povs is a huge pet peeve but somehow, this Keeper liked Allie Condie's writing style.

So I was thinking, maybe you could do the same for me. Tell me what you are reading right now or just comment novels you've read and liked. And I'll check them out.

Of course I understand that we have different tastes or preferences but see, this Keeper can be very flexible especially when the plot is very interesting. Allie Condie's trilogy is the first dystopian novel I've read and I never thought I'd like it. That genre usually scares me since the future is always dark and depressing.

I am not asking for the best book out there, just the book that you are reading or have read and liked.

Now, I think I must join more contests and win Amazon gift cards coz my gift card balance is already low -.-

I really like this horror novel called Anna Dressed in Blood. There's a sequel called Girl of Nightmares which I haven't found yet. It's not too scary; it about a 17-year-old called Cas, who's a ghost hunter. He moves towns with his mum a lot for this and relocated somewhere to hunt a ghost called Anna, a popular urban legend ghost with a tragic past.

"Ender's Game" was a brilliantly thought-provoking novel that I read recently. The genre is sci-fi but there's deeper messages about war and humanity. It's technically part of a series but it works as a standalone (plus the movie is coming out soon!)

If you liked rick riordan's works, maybe you'd like 39 clues. There's a lot to read in this series, each book written by different authors and the first one was written by rick riordan (i think)

Oh oh, I have a few books that I truly enjoyed. To name a few:

The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker (all time favorite book that I could reread over & over again)

These are my recent reads:
The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories by Joseph Gordon-Levitt (This one is a pretty light read but so precious!)
Stardust by Neil Gaiman
Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Enjoy! :)
