Disclaimer: what I am about to say isn't the opinion of everyone who went to the Kpop Republic concert. 

Let me start off by saying... 1 hour and 20 minutes was not enough for how expensive this concert was. Taylor Swift and Katy Perry was cheaper and longer just saying.

I loved the concert but Oh my god, each artist (Dal Shabet, EXO-K, and SHINee) performed 5 songs each. The opening act performed six songs. Hmm... yeah, that makes sense.

Let's talk about the Crispie Crunch, they were awesome! One of the guys reminded me of GD and Soomin from April Kiss was there and she was pretty good. Much better than...

Dal Sha-freakin'-bet, I'm not saying they're bad or being a fan of their music is a bad thing but these girls don't know how to entertain a crowd of 12K people. My aunt said they looked like Japanese stars, I'm really sorry guys but they were so boring that I began to yawn. 

Again, this is just my opinion so yeah...

Next will be my babies!!! EXO-K!!! And let's start off with the high marks, they sang a good selection of songs and looked great. They were friendly with the crowd and spaced themselves well on the stage. When they performed XOXO I nearly died, and Chanyeol got down on one knee and sang to Baekhyun!!!! >///< This is inspiration for my fic!!! XD

In the sad news, guys... They looked tired. Especially Kai and Sehun, they were kind of tired but they still danced great but if you watched their last performances in Inkigayo, M Countdown, and etc, you can tell that they need to rest. They were up to their eyeballs with "Wolf" which was my least favorite performance of the night from them.

They were best when they sang "XOXO" and "365", they looked so free and happy and I was just really AGH!!!

But right when they ended Growl, they left and I became sad. 

But not for long, SHINee came out and the crowd went wld! Like everything was great until...

Only 4 members showed up. 

The girl behind me was screaming and pissed, I guess Minho was her bias. And I can understand why she feels that way because tonight, I didn't watch SHINee, I watched Taemin, Onew, Key and Jonghyun. (later finding out that Minho was busy filming a drama)

SHINee's song selection was a little dissapointing, we were told that they would be performing their hits but they sang one song I didn't even recognize and "Beautiful" from Misconceptions of you. After 5 songs they left and that was it.

The concert ended and the lights came on, people were sitting in their seats for a good 15 minutes staring at the stage because it all ended too soon. 

My problems:

1. The opening act gets to sing 6 songs and the main artists get to sing 5 songs each.

2. Dal Shabet wasted my time, if this was an EXO-K and Shinee concert, everyone would have been fine with that. They should was dropped Dal Shabet and given EXO and Shinee three extra songs.

3. EXO was cute and amazing but a little out of it. You could tell they were a bit robotic from performing Wolf and Growl but they shined most during XOXO and 365.

4. 4 out of the 5 members of Shinee showed up, the audience only knowing this fact when four men appeared on the stage and not five. I paid to watch SHINee, that might sound a bit bratty but some people spent up to 350 dollars for a ticket. I spent 200 dolars for two and I myself was a little ticked off. It's not Shinee's fault, the promoters should have at least informed the ticket holders before hand, you can't just deceit people so you can earn a profit. 

5. RING INH DING DONG would have been amazing in an arena! the whole crowd was BEGGING them to sing Ring Ding Dong but I guess they had a fixed set list. 

6. ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES. YOU CONCERT PROMOTERS. OH BTW, NO ENCORE. 

My highlights

1. EXO, I love them, I cried guys... I freakin' cried. I just couldn't hold it. I think Chanyeol stole my heart tonight. 

2. SHINee - best performers of the nights hands down, great energy, Jonghyun's vocals were jawdropping and Taemin was ay! 

3. The stage, the entire stage and effects were great! I actually was pleasantly suprised with how nice the stage was.

4. Everyone in Manila is D.O. Biased, I swear guys,I saw D.O shirts EVERYWHERE!!! I saw one Luhan shirt, one tao shirt and like a million DO shirts. People were even handing out flyers that read "Do Kyungsoo sarranghe" and everyone in my level had them. 

5. The concert, I loved EXO and Shinee but I'm so empty right now.

Other

+ This was a promotional concert for sure, so expensive and so short only to announce after the concert that in May 2014 their will be a Dream Kpop Fantasy Concer and of course, I will most likely go since I'll support my boys til the end.

+ Fly to the philippines -> perform concert -> fly back to Seoul. That's like a three hour flight, they couldn't at least spend the night here?

+ Key gave the mic to Onew when he said Minho wasn't here tonight and the crowd whined.

+ Baekyeol, the Baekyeol feels.

+ Jongkey, the Jongkey feels. 

+ The lack of 2min feels since Minho wasn't their and I was so heatbroken guys.

My Aunts perspective (who I just got her into EXO-M and now Shinee!)

+ She thought Shinee was amazing and the best performers of the night and that "Why So Serious?" Was an amazing song.

+ She thinks SM artists have a "takot sa amo" mentality, meaning they can't be who they are because they have to live by the boss' standards and they don't have a say otherwise. Guys, she doesn't know these groups and she practically summed up what SM is all about. 

+ She thinks EXO was good but will improve in time, she could tell that they were freshly new and young.

+ She was bored with Dal Shabet but thought that her husband would find them y since they looked like Japanese stars.

+ She now understands why I left American music and embraced Kpop, she thought Kpop had a lot of good qualities, especially for young people.

+ She said Jonghyun's voice was amazing and that he was the best one.

+ She also thought the concert was too short and not worth the money, especially if you paid 350 dollars.

+ She works in the fashion industry and guys, Even I have to say, they all had their noses done. i was suprised when I saw Key and was like "yep, that's a nose job". You may be my bias and Im not saying plastic surgery is bad but c'mon kpop fans...a lot of them have gone under the knife once or twice. 

Sum up the concert: too short, not worth what the people on the floor paid for (though they were told that they'd be given signed posters and a tshirt) but still... Some people paid a lot to see their bias and Minho is the number one bias of Shinee in the Philippines in my opinion. 

EXO, I really love you guys, always and forever. Please get some rest and I hope that the next time I'll see you, I'll be watching EXO as one.
