INTRAMURALS ON PHOTOGRAPHS

A thin smile spread on my face as I came across the pictures in my camera. A picture of me and my classmates giving our best smiles after the University Run surfaced in the camera screen. Our smiles in the picture proved the fun we had during the event. I can remember waking up early on that day, August 26, because of sheer excitement. Just by looking at the photograph, I could even recall the buzz in the school canteen where all the students were gathered before the event. The screams and howls of excitement were still fresh in my ears. The soles of my feet could still feel the pavement that I had trotted on during the run. It was a really an unforgettable experience especially to think of myself finishing the run as the 8th placer on the 3K Category. Unbelievable! I clicked the next button to reveal another picture of me and some of my friends. It was a picture taken during the Field Demonstration where I danced and worked all my muscles out with 90’s music blasted from the speakers. There were balloons everywhere that day, making the scene so lively and bright like a festival. The third picture I saw was the picture of my friends with the gorgeous participants of the Miss Intramurals. Seeing the photograph made me feel proud because the beautiful student representing our college department was hailed as Miss Intramurals. The next pictures that appeared on the screen were pictures taken during the games. It reminded me of myself cheering on, supporting the players that were playing, and joining the chants of the audience, though I was not siding with a particular team. The picture reminded me of watching the balls being dribbled, passed on, shot and the feeling of thrill that came along with it. You see, Intramurals is really a school event that everyone should look forward to. I was glad that I took pictures because it helped preserve the wonderful memories of the Intramurals. I was glad I took pictures because I am able to experience Intramurals once more through the photographs.
