My Life in Japan [ With Pictures ♥]

SOOOO some of you may know That last Summer I was an Exchange student in Japan and it was truely the happiest time of my life.... and since I've been feeling pretty crumby and depressed lately... I really want to go back to my Host Family and that happy time... so this is kind of a type of therapy for myself... I want to see if something like this will help me... writing down my happy memories might make me feel happier.... Oh well I am going to give this a try XD enjoy the stories and photo's ^^

My first look at Japan as we were flying into Narita Airport!! omg dream come true right here!!!!!

all I have to say is it is my goal in life to go back to Japan and fly on this plane!!! i have heard so much about it and to be able to see it in person was amazing!!

My first dose of culture shock in Japan... was the Japanese toilets a group of us girls went into the bathroom and had to go back out and find a teacher and ask how we were supposed to use it ^^;; so embarrassing!!

This is the view from My bedroom window I took this photo first thing when I woke up... when we arrived in Japan it was really late and dark so even though my friend and I walked through the front garden to get into the house we were so tired and overwhelmed I didnt notice anything around me LOL

This is our room!! and let me tell you we were AMAZED with the sliding doors!!! where I come from these don't exist so i think we spent about 10 minutes in the morning Just opening and closing them like children XD (my bed was the Pink one and my friends was the flowered one ^^) and let me tell you.... those pillows so much!! i ended up sleeping with my sweater under the pillow the whole time... you can see my pink sweater in the corner on the left..... it makes me sad to see it because I forgot it in Japan :(

They also kept doves right outside the front enterance again... my friend and I didnt even notice any of these when we arrived the night before we went outside and were like 0.0!!!  The first day was difficult for us... the language barrier made things awkward... at first i thought it would be impossible for us to be able to explain things to them but by the end of the exchange we understood each other perfectly :)

the first thing our host father showed us when we went outside the first day was a nest of baby swallows where right under the entryway unfortunately the swallows were almost ready to leave the nest and they were gone by the third day :(

fun fact: The oldest daughter of our host family (the girl we did the exchange with) is a really amazing singer and she even preformed a concert while we were in Japan anyways she is offically a Trainee for a music company!! I am assuming the trainee program is similar to korea's but i think its really amazing and I am so happy for her!!

hmmm I think this was helpful to me and it brought back some great memories and I had fun doing this... and sharing the photos... maybe I will do a my life in in Japan part 2? if you took the time to read this i hop it wasnt boring :)
