Any home remedies for Dry Eyes?

Recently , my eyes started to feel stingy and itchy even when I'm not looking at the laptop or computer. Sometimes my left eye (it's worse than my right eye) get really itchy that I can't even open it and it was very dangerous because it happened when I was driving... no, I don't drive with closed eyes, I close only one eye.

I have the feeling that this has something to do with air-conditioner in my office and in my car. But they are essentials, I don't think turning off the air-conditioner is an option. So, I would like to get some home remedies to treat dry eye. I don't really expect a product because since many of yo are living in a different country, the product that you will recommend might not be available in my place.

So, Anyone can help me?

Have you tried cleaning out the filter for your air conditioners? Being from a tropical country, I would NEVER suggest anyone turn off the aircon, sheesh, that's like suffocation waiting to happen, but I have horrible allergies from dust that accumulates in the filter of the aircon. It usually looks like a grate. A good vacuum or even, if the manufacturer says it's a okay, a dunk in soapy water and letting it dry in the sun can be really helpful. I don't know any home remedies for dry eyes per se. Just eyedrops that you can buy at any pharmacy, but I would suggest trying to clean the aircon first and vacuuming/dusting any dust you see, which is usually a major cause of dry eyes. And resting your eyes every 15-20 minutes is also great. Hope you feel better!
