jaehwa has a very basic style, nothing is ever too in your face or ridiculous. sometimes he's considered the murderer of fashion when he just throws on whatever comes to hand even if it really doesn't look good together. this normally happens when he has to wake up early. most of the time, jaehwa will put on a long sleeved top and a pair of jeans but if the 'cordi-noonas' get a hold of him, he'll wear something that really isn't his own style. even though he murders fashion a lot of the time, jaehwa does have a lot of good clothes and he does know how to dress himself to look good, just most of the time his laziness gets in the way of that. — casual

like most guys, jaehwa will wear the cliche shirt and tie if he's attending a formal event. if it's a formal event such as a birthday or some other celebration he'll put on a plain shirt and jeans, normally black jeans so he doesn't seem too informal. — formal

personality┊jaehwa is naturally loud, always has been since birth when he would cry for hours on end just to get some attention. if you hear loud laughter in the sm building, it's probably him. he's one of those people that have to get their point across and most of the time if there's a camera or a manager around he'll probably talk over all of the other members to have the spotlight to himself. sometimes people consider jaehwa as an arrogant person as he does think a lot of himself and he knows that he's good looking, talented and proabably the most seen male member because of his loudness. truthfully, jaehwa doesn't mean to come across arrogant, he knows those things but he does know that the other members are all extremely talented too. as one of the older members, jaehwa is caring of the younger ones...sometimes if the older ones need a caring hyung too then he'll treat them nicely too. if someone needs to talk to him or they need some extra practise then he'll be there for them, if he has money left over too and he knows that someone needs something he'll spend that money on them. if there's ever anyone to try out new things, it's jaehwa. he likes to go on adventures, one of the main reasons he auditioned for sm so he could try something new. because he's so energetic, it makes him a better dancer. jaehwa's always jumping around or moving continuously and it's very rare that you'll find him sitting still for a long time.

background┊shin jaehwa was born in vancouver, canada where he spent most of his childhood with his parents and four siblings. while growing up in canada, jaehwa learned how to speak both english and french in school then he quickly picked up korean from his father, making it easier when he decided to move to seoul. he had a regular upbringing, occasionally visiting relatives in korea which is how he learned of kpop and came to love it. jaehwa had four older siblings, making it almost impossible for him to gain any attention unless he pushed himself to stand out against his siblings although he loves every single one of them. when he was around 14, jaehwa decided to audition for sm and his parents both supported him in what he wanted to do. he was extremely happy to be accepted but when he learned that he would be staying in korea without his parents, jaehwa was a little worried and upset like any teenager that had never been away from his family. when he first moved to seoul, jaehwa struggled to make any friends in training or school, he closed himself off from the rest of the people and became cold towards his fellow trainees. luckily, he made two friends that were the same age as him eventually and this brought out the old jaehwa that was loud and fun to be around.

got in by┊jaehwa auditioned twice when he was fourteen, he managed to get in the second time he auditioned with his dancing skills instead of his singing as he had done previously.

trainee background┊although jaehwa didn't have an aweful time as a trainee, he didn't enjoy it much. when he first arrived in korea, he could speak good korean and understood everyone but because he was in a strange place at such a young age without any family around him, he became cold and refused to talk to anyone until kai approached him one day during training, when sehun also joined as a trainee they became good friends. jaehwa soon managed to become one of the likeable trainees once kai had managed to take jaehwa out of his cold persona.

personality┊naeun can be extremely cold towards people, not intentionally as it's just the way she is around strangers or people that she doesn't really know that well. even though she's the visual of apink, she can be really self-concious about her looks and wonder why she's the visual and not someone that the fans seem to prefer like eunji or chorong. for her young age, naeun is very mature and doesn't often act childish unless someone else acts like that around her, then she'll join in and be the cute little kid that she is inside. despite what most people think, naeun is intelligent and talented, she's always trying out something new or learning something. like most of the female idols out there, she's also a good actress but she rarely uses that ability against people or to fool someone. overall, naeun is a quiet and shy girl around strangers but towards her friends she's bright, bubbly and fun to be with.

first meeting┊naeun and jaehwa met through mutual friends during his trainee days, they were always really close as their personalities just clicked instantly. they never had an awkward stage or a bad stage in their friendship. at first, naeun was expecting jaehwa to be rather mean towards her as their friends had told her that he was a cold guy that didn't like people all that much but when they first met up and he introduced himself in an unusual way, she knew that he wouldn't hurt her.

first meeting┊ ara and jaehwa met during a music show, while the rest of her members were talking excitedly to his own hee noticed that she stood quietly in the background just observing silently. when he approached her she seemed taken aback at someone actually trying to speak to her, once he had introduced himself and explained why he approached her the two began a conversation that lasted much longer than expected.

interaction┊they flirt a lot together, both of them know that they're flirting but neither say a word. they'll mess around backstage at music shows and during interviews.

ideal first date┊jaehwa's ideal date is the typical coffee date where he can sit with his girl, a few cups of coffee between them and listen to her voice as she tells him all about her day or week. he's very simple and romantic that way. if he could go on any other date, he would enjoy going to an amusement park and taking her on all of the scary rides so that she would hold onto him.
