KCON 2013 PART I

D A Y  O N E

Day one of KCON in one word: Medicore.

CONS: Went to L.A around 8 in the morning. Checked into an okay hotel. Went to KCON around 9-10 a.m and there was a long line already. I waited for my friend who I was going to meet up. There were three different lines: VIP 1, VIP2, and general tickets. I think this was the bad part of KCON because we were supposed to be let in at 10 sharp. But the time my friend and I got in was around 12-1 in the afternoon. Also bad thing, it was so hot. I got dark just waiting in line, like three shades dark. I didn't notice until my mom told me I got sunburned on my face. Waiting in line ruined my first day. Besides the fact of waiting in line for three hours, everything was whatever. There were a lot of lines and crap in different panels, but it was alright. The biggest con was just the line waiting and the hot weather. Oh, and mostly everything being in cash, cause I only had a card, and there was no ATM machines until the next day. BUT, the BIGGEST BIGGEST con was not being able to hand my gift over to EXO. The staff just wouldn't accept it, the reason being "they can't carry everything to korea". Which sounds like BS to me cause my booklet is the size of my phone (Samsung S3), maybe a few centimeters bigger. I asked this one staff worker, who was really my favorite staff worker out of all the other ones, and she said ask the info booth, I even told her that it had fan messages on it and was really important. I did as told and was told the the 'reason' I typed before. I went back to her, cause she said if they didn't know or said no in general to go back to her, and she asked who said that. I said an asian chick with glasses. She had this look on her face and said she knew who I was talking about. Her faced changed into a sad expression and said that she's someone who knows what to do and then if she said no, its a no. That made my day go down the drain. I thanked her a lot for helping me and went back to my friends. I guess she saw the disappointed and walked up to me and said she'd try and text her friends who were working down below the sports arena, where most staff worked with the artists to see what they could do. I told her thanks again, like really happily and she walked back to her station. Later in the day, I went back to her, since I was about to leave, and asked about the gift. She had the same sad expression and told me she texted two of them and they both said no. She said she was really sorry. I told her it's fine, and the reason I wanted to hand it to them was because they'd already recieve it with me knowing. I told her it was no problem for me to mail it to them, but I told her I was afraid SM would just throw it to the side from all the gifts and stuff they received. She said she understood how I felt and apologized again. I was really grateful for her help and thanked her so much again.

PROS: Once my friend and I finally got our tickets, wristbands, and gift bags, we were able to go inside. Each person obtained a gift bag, even general tickets, which surprised me. And in each bag contained scratchers/voucher tickets. If you peeled the sticker off, it's either say you got: A viewing, hi-touch, fan-signing, or just a sorry (baiscally nothing). General got one, VIPS got three. My friend and I both got F(X) viewings, which we really didn't want. Thankfully, her two friends had EXO viewings and we traded, which we got lucky cause some people offered to pay or trade a hi-touch or fansigning card from another artist for EXO. Yes, A LOT of people did that. One girl I talked too while waiting for the EXO viewing said she paid a girl $60 for it.  Anyways, that was a BIG pro for me. Sadly, it wasn't for my friend cause the viewing was the next day, but she wasn't going to be here. Other good things were the side stages. I fell in love with Yu Seung Woo, a 16 year old guitar player from Superstar K4. He's just so freaking adorable. What made me enjoy the rest of the day was just hanging out with my friends, chilling in the stage, spotting cute ASIAN guys, seeing a lot of good look-a-likes, and having an awesome camera.

SO...

About the gift booklet. I wasn't able to give it to them :(. Cause they really were strict with gifts this year. Idk if they accepted anyone else's, and if they did, well . I'm really sorry about it! But, do not fret! I will mail it to them :) I just have to find their address and stuff. I'll put it inside a nice looking box too! So, don't worry! I got this! I'll just have to write a letter to EXO explaining that I wasn't able to give it to them.

I'll write part two next. Since it's so long.

My friend is an amazing artist, she got to give EXO her paintings and drawings to EXO. Most of them were Kris. I think she gave one to GD. VIXX and EYK took a picture and I guess posted it. It was a drawing of a zombie EYK and all of VIXX.
