FOREWORD:

Right now as I'm typing this, it's already 12:49am here at my place. But I couldn't go to sleep, and I know I won't be able to shut my eyes and calm myself for the next few hours. Why? Well, I'll tell you...

The ELFs here at the Philippines held an SJCon2 (Super Junior Convention 2) prior to the upcoming SuperShow5 in Manila ^-^

This is my first ever Super Junior event. I've been attending events of One Direction since last year, but this is my first SJ event because I'm just a new ELF :) I've been excited and nervous about this event for two weeks already coz I didn't know what to expect.

So, I was with Pumpkinita (she's the one who introduced me to Super Junior, and I'm loving her to bits right now because of that <3) and my sister Kim Jewel. The three of us went to the venue but we didnt' go inside the dome right away. We were so nervous, we decided to eat first and delay as long as we can. When we couldn't delay anymore, we headed to the SM Sky Dome.

The moment we got there, we already had an embarassing moment. WE WERE UNDER-DRESSED O_o and we didn't know where to buy the tickets so we had to circle around and ask the guards -____- Eventually, we entered the dome and found ourselves amazed with the SAPPHIRE BLUE environment :)

The next seven hours were spent with fangirling screams.

There were merch booths where we literally emptied our wallets.

We enjoyed watching the contests and the performances of the cosplayers.

Of course we screamed like crazy when music videos were played... as if it was already SuperShow5 XD

And we got to be around ELFs and be crazy with them all ^-^

BUT THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY HAPPENED AN HOUR BEFORE THE EVENT ENDED.

There was a raffle.

I was never ever ever ever lucky with raffle draws.

I've been to five One Direction event already and I didn't win anything from the countless raffles held there.

So as I was saying, they announced that they'd be giving VIP TICKETS for SuperShow5.

Only 2 (TWO) tickets!

Of course, every one of us wanted to win!!!

While the hosts were talking and digging around the raffle entries, I was constantly saying to Pumpkinita "Probability and Statistics" (that was one of our subjects back at College where we compute the probability or percentage of something to happen)

I looked around the venue and it was packed with hopeful ELFs. There was a SLIM chance of grabbing a luck.

And sure enough, a girl was called. She casually walked up the stage and received her VIP ticket... while all of us had the same thought: that should've been me up there.

And then a CRAZY thing happened.

The host picked a paper inside the box. And then gave a hint about the name.

Host: Santos

(That's a very common surname here at the Philippines, so nobody reacted.)

Host: Walang Santos dito? (Isn't there a "Santos" here?)

(Still nobody reacted because it was a sarcastic question)

Host: Santos, Katherine!

I stood there on our spot... trying to comprehend what the host just said.

And then my sister and Pumpkinita pushed me, their eyes wide.

And it stupidly dawned on me... my name is Katherine Santos!

I panicked.

My sister kept on laughing at me because I was out my mind. I was supposed to just go up the stage... but I did a little hyper-fangirl-jump-squeel on my way there.

The whole view of the event is still fresh in my mind.

I was shaking all over.

I couldn't feel my hands.

I was hyper ventilating as I walked towards the side of the stage.

Before I went up, I looked around and expected the guards to stop me, but they didn't.

When I managed to climb up the stage, one of the hosts congratulated me.

I just said "SERYOSO PO BA TO?" (IS THIS SERIOUS??)

She laughed and sarcastically said "Ay hinde joke lang to!" (Oh no, this is all just a joke!)

SO THERE I WAS.

AT THE MIDDLE OF THE STAGE.

FACING HUNDREDS OF ELFS LOOKING AT ME.

THE SPOTLIGHTS, THE STARES, THE PRESSURE.

IT'S ALL CLEAR IN MY FREAKIN' MIND.

I was hyperventilating on stage.

The hosts asked me if I was okay... and they saw tears in my eyes.

I COULDN'T SPEAK PROPERLY.

They asked if I was only 12 years old.

I said I was already 20!

They asked if I had a job.

I said I work at the Philippine Navy.

They congratulated me for winning the VIP ticket.

I asked again: IS THIS ALL SERIOUS!?

They laughed.

They gave me the mock-up ticket (because the real ones are still under process)

They told me to smile for the cameras.

I smiled.

I looked around and saw that everyone was just standing there looking at me.

I calmed down a bit when I saw my sister and my friend at the side, waving and screaming at me!!!

And then the host asked me: Who's your bias?

There was a whole minute of silence XD

(WHY? Because lately I've been very fond of Kangin but my real bias is Heechul XD So I had a little moment of stupidity there hahaha)

Me: Heechul!

And then I heard cheers from the crowd xD My fellow PETALS!

I climbed down the stage, still feeling all fuzzy and crazy.

The staff had to write down my name and other details because I told them I couldn't feel my hands, I couldn't hold the pen!

When I went back to them, we hugged each other and I started to cry!

They had to pull me out of the dome for a moment to get some air and to calm me down.

Skipping the other details, I'll go straight to my parents' reactions when we told them what happened.

At first they thought it was just a run-down of what we bought and what we did at the convention. And then we slowly told them about the raffle... and then I screamed out!

To be honest, my parents didn't approve of me going to SuperShow5.

Because of the ticket prices.

If you'd read my first blogs, I'm ranting there about saving money for the concert. Well, I managed to save enough for a VIP but we decided to just buy a Lowerbox ticket to not get our parents too upset.

MY DAD WENT CRAZY WHEN I TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED!

HE HELD OUT HIS HAND FOR A HIGH-FIVE.

I GATHERED PILLOWS AND THREW THEM AT HIM!! XD

I won't be able to sleep now because of this.

I FREAKIN' WON VIP FREAKIN' TICKETS FOR SUPER JUNIOR'S FREAKIN' SUPER SHOW 5 HERE AT THE PHILIPPINES!!!
