[ATTN] ONGOING (SOME) + FUTURE FICS TO BE

I could give out some high and mighty list of reasons why I'm doing this but the truth of the matter is that my reason is very, very simple and I'm sure some of you will in one way or another feel the same way I do:

 

Plagiarism is still rather common.

And I'd rather not let strangers (potential) have the satisfaction of being able to copy my off this site so easy.

 

Believe me when I say that I'm saying this not because I think of myself as a superior writer or that I've deluded myself into assuming everyone adores what I write. I'm saying this because the case of plagiarism have happened to me on more than one occassion (some of you might have been a witness to some of 'em) and I have had enough of putting my heart into my writing, only to have some jackass "re-invent" my words into his/her "liking" (in this case you should all probably tell that I'm being sarcastic. That this is actually kinda code for "changing the ing pairing to his/her pairing because she doesn't like my pairing but she wants MY story to be for his/her pairing" and blah-dee-blah-dee-in'-blah).

Next you might wonder: WHY NOW?

Why, you ask? Because it's ing happening again and I'm SO ING SICK OF IT.

I won't name names or link because it doesn't even matter anymore if this person knows I'm pissed off because he/she will continue doing it to me and other writers anyway. But I am doing this as a warning. And believe me, this is the final one. The consequences will be dire.

That is all.

 

 

Excuse the language. I'm just so close to taking all of my off the internet if this continues on.

Amen! This is why my some of my stories are subscribers-only also.

I was advised by someone (and I am applying the advice) that the option "members only" is better than "subscribers only", in addition to, of course, disallowing text selection. Choosing "subscribers only" will still allow the fanfic ripper site to "enter" your fic and thus they'd still be able to have the pdf copy of your file. "members only" don't allow this. At least, a couple of months ago. I haven't checked again whether the technology has evolved and now even "members only" won't save the authors. But yeah, those are the precautions I do now.

might do the same thing as well. though i haven't heard that someone is plagiarizing my works but maybe for future instances and to wear off invisible readers. it's very discouraging when a fanfic writer plagiarizes another fanfic based on novels, the characters or celebreties, tv shows and movies. it's like double jeopardy and it's stupid.

That makes me so mad. Your writing is some of my favorite to read and I think in reality I am more upset at how blatantly unappreciated it is because if you were to truly understand the writing you would see exactly why each character was not only chosen but is the only option for that part. It just irks me.
I hope this stops happening to you though.
