Background: Born in Seoul, South Korea, to a single mother resulted in some hardships during the childhood. A lot of children for having one parent only, and because of her mother's wish for her best, she tried to be the best. She studied a lot, took piano lessons and learned a different language. She feels her best when she can just sit down and write her own thoughts and songs. She placed third in a talent competition at age 11 and then first at age 14. She auditioned for KMW Entertainment after encouragement from various sources, including her mother and boyfriend at the time.
