6 Years, 9 Girls, 1 Love: A Letter from Me to You

Dear Soshi,
It's been a long time, isn't it?
You've been going through a lot of hardships and of course, successes for the past six years, not to mention almost half of your lives were dedicated for your careers.
Those tiring activities during your trainee lives, those doubts for the unbeknown future ahead, and those sacrifices you've given for the sake of your dreams --- they were all paid off, right?
I want to take this opportunity to walk a trip down the memory lane. :)
Six years ago, you debuted as a rookie girl group from SM Entertainment.
"Girls' Generation"... Sounded too bland and normal, didn't it?
People then thought that it was a mistake for SM to release such a big group. It was unimaginable, 9 girls in one group.
"SM must've gone crazy.", they've said.
Then, as you performed your first live, introduced yourselves to the public for the first time... You must've felt so nervous and scared, right?
You're humans, after all. :)
But those nervousness and fear, were later on replaced by determination and passion during/after you surpassed the public's pressure. You fought despite the negative vibes around and succeeded like a true victor.
I must say, it was inspiring. :) I bet you miss those moments so much, now that all of you reached a whole other level.
During those 6 years of pursuing, dancing and singing, you've endured every sleepless nights, empty stomachs (sometimes) and yearnings for freedom...
I hope, between those 6 years, we weren't a disappointment neither a cause of your suffering. But as far as I know, we've committed a few faults here and there, still, you never gave up on us. You even lectured us just like how a mother teaches her child.
(referring to the Taeyeon and Tiffany incident in LA)
This fandom... is comparable to an ocean's span --- infinite and flowing.
From what I've experienced, SONEs treat each other like sisters just like how Soshi does from one member to another.
Though the relationship have flaws, nothing is perfect, but the mistakes itself make us more bonded.
That is the power of 9, along with the millions of SONEs out there. This was a journey towards forever.
Sometimes I wonder if it is wrong for me to think of you as role models rather than artists. Becoming an artist was your dream, to sing and dance was your talent, but what caught my interest was your personalities.
Also, I want to take this opportunity to thank you. I can't express how grateful I am to be in this fandom.
Every comeback, I don't just spazz and drool over your newest concept. Deep inside, I silently thank you for the hard work.
Every OT9 moment, I don't just get emotional and be all dramatic orally.
Silently, I smile, thanking God from above that your bond was still strong and improving.
Every incident, major or minor, I don't just worry and overreact.
Immediately, I pray for your safety and good health as if you were part of my family.
And in every anniversary, I don't just greet you casually saying, "Happy anniversary, Soshi! I love you, fighting!".
It will always be followed by a, "Keep it up, we'll always be here to catch you whenever you fall... and even until your every and last performance.".
Thank you. It would be too cliché to say that you've changed my life. I think every SONE had a new view for a better life ever since meeting you.
Despite our vast number, I feel your love.
I also want to say I love you, and I will do anything to give you a nice pat on the back and a comforting hug.
To Taeyeon, you already did it. More than what you think you've done. :)
To Jessica, Krystal is so lucky to have a sister like you. Soshi is also lucky to have you. We are lucky to have you, our Maomao. :)
To Sunny, your height makes you unique. I love you just the way you are. You're also cool, liking SONEs' photos in Instagram and creating your own Twitter account. You basically tended to our needs. :)
To Tiffany, you've been working so hard. I bet your mom is smiling from the heavens, proud of you. Don't worry, though she left you early, your other 8 sisters will be with you... along with our battalion of pink SONEs. :)
To Hyoyeon, never change who you are, our choding... our drunkard... our dancing queen... our Hyoraengi. Take care of your health, live life to the fullest. :)
To Yuri, oh dear bias... You infected me with your happy, weird virus and I'm proudly displaying it to my friends. You make me smile, laugh, cry and inspired. Thank you, our yulyulk. :)
To Sooyoung... Okay, I'm not saying anything about food. But rather, I want to say that you've been doing so well in pursuing your dreams. From being an actress, artist, lyricist and a designer... I wish you good luck, I'll be here to support you. :)
To Yoona, it must be hard being the image, doesn't it? But despite the pressure and expectations, you still smile and show your true self. I admire you for that. Keep smiling like that, understand? :)
To Seohyun, our maknae... You always care for us by updating SSF posts every now and then, reminding us to take care of our health and to have a nice day. Please, always remember that we are wishing you the same. :)
I'll end this letter now because it might get longer and boring.
