Best of the Best in Manila 2015

Best of the Best in Manila 2015

Note: I'm blogging this experience because I 'accidentally' read my DKFC blog from 2013 haha. I was inspired to write another memorable experience :)

April 12, 2015.
One of the days I won't ever forget.

The last time I saw you was in 2013. It took us 3 years to see each other again. The long wait was worth it, though. As I secured myself, finally, a VIP ticket just to see you closer than before's Gold section (DKFC).

I'm gonna start talking about the moment I stepped on the land of the Philippine Arena. Damn, it felt like I was in another country. It was sooooo huge. Everything looked clean and clear, there was no sign of claustrophobia. Haha. Well, again, it's because the whole area is huge.

I was with my friends, we were about... 10 or more. But not more than 20. #squadgoals Half of our group got Upper box tickets. The other half got VIP tickets. I'm one of the VIP ticket holders, and I still couldn't believe it. (I lied to my father about the ticket price because he wouldn't let me go to the concert if he knew the real price lol)

Around 5pm(?), we queued up for the line. After a few minutes, the line started to move. I was so freaking excited that time, I was talkative. I gave around banners for our mini fanevent for the girls.

"우리 서로 힘이 되자❤️" — it means Let's be each others' strength.

A guide/staff suddenly appears. She pulled us out of the line, turned out VIP holders had another line. We entered the arena faster than the other. Ahh, I love the perks. (except the price)

Long story short, we entered the concert venue from the Gen. Ad. area. We walked a long way down to the VIP section. And I was surprised. And so freaking delighted.

WE WERE SO FREAKING CLOSE FROM THE STAGE I COULD LITERALLY FEEL MY ORGANS SHAKING BECAUSE OF EXCITEMENT—

Yep. Then we sat down. Yeah there were chairs. Pfft. I felt they were useless, not until later. (Take note of this line)

I looked around in amazement. For the nth time, the place was huge. As in h u g e. And we were sitting beside the extended stage. Like, if I walk 5 steps towards it, I can already touch Yuri. Okay, just imagine it.

After the seemingly long wait, the concert finally started. To be honest, I didn't know what to feel during that time. I was in between 'is it already starting?' and 'i cannot feel the concert' feels. Basically, I wasn't emotionally and mentally ready. Fortunately, I'm physically ready.

The concert started with Red Velvet singing Ice Cream Cake. (God, I can write this calmly right now, but I'm internally screaming)

I remember shouting "Di pa ako ready! Sandali lang! Seulgi pakshet ka!". Translation: "I'm not yet ready! Wait! Seulgi you son of a—". Yes. Feel the rawness of my emotions.

A good friend of mine, who happens to be a hardcore fan of Red Velvet, started singing along. I couldn't blame her though, everyone was singing along as well. I was busy staring at my babies. My Red Velvet babies, alive and moving in front of me. VIP was freaking worth it.

I also remember saying, "Mas bata pa si Yeri sa akin pero bakit ganun?". Translation: "Yeri is younger than me but look at her. How?" #spazzlanguage

In the end, my good friend got noticed by the Goddess Irene. She was waving a banner which says, "Goddess of iron, please iron my clothes." something like that. Irene laughed at her, and I witnessed it. I'm so proud of you, friend. You know who you are.

They sang Happiness, Something Kinda Crazy and Candy, too. All in all, I felt blessed. Because they were a new group. And I'm already a fan. And I saw them within their first year of debut. Thank you, whoever handled the event.

Next who performed was BTOB. Right now, I can't remember what happened because honestly, I haven't gotten the chance to know them well. I only know Sungjae, because he's my crush loljoke. They performed 5 songs, I think. huhu I'm sorry :(

——————————————————————————————————————

Okay. This is it. We've reunited once again. Lol.
Girls' Generation.

They were the third group to perform. I left my chair and joined my friends who already went near the stage. Although the bouncers were giving us a hard time (lol sorry big oppas), I stood firmly at my place which already had a good view of the stage. Imagine there's only one step left and I can already climb up the extended stage. But of course, I won't. Hehe.

I didn't have any lightsticks with me. I only had my phone, the fan event banner and the mini-heart glove... thingy. Another fan event prepared by PH Sones.

They started with Mr. Mr.(?) Lol omg I already forgot the sequence of the songs performed. But I know they sang Mr. Mr., Gee, Genie, Hoot, Kissing You and Complete. (Damn you Soshi)

Let's skip the first part meheheh. After the first perfomances, they played a short VTR of the girls during their Las Vegas photobook shoot. And at the last part of the clip, Girls' Generation was complete. With Jessica. Everyone screamed at the moment. I was screaming as well, of course. Who wouldn't.

When they came out again, they continued performing on the main stage, much to my frustration. What was the purpose of the extended stage? To make us hope that they are actually coming closer?

But I spoke too soon. When Kissing You started to play, I remembered their concerts and tours. They mostly walked during this song. And I was correct. During the first verse and chorus, they split into fours and sang per side of the stage. Second verse and chorus, they switched places.

My Sone instinct told me that they were about to use the extended stage and that I have to use my phone as a banner, because it was dark. My phone would be the only thing Yuri would see. I thanked my mind for being so brilliant at the moment.

As soon as they walked nearer, I was about to lose my senses. THEY WERE SO FREAKING SURREAL AND GLORIOUS I CANT BELIEVE I SAW THEM LIKE WITHIN TWO METERS AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh

THANK GOD YURI WALKED NEAR WHERE I WAS.

The chair, which was useless before, was now useful as .

I momentarily stepped on the nearest chair to boost my height. (It was prohibited but whatever. It was a matter of life and death. Adrenaline rush.)

I raised my phone which had a bright red '유리' on its screen. I waved it for a few times.... until Yuri finally walked in front of me.

My very own bias. My headache. My inspiration. My role model. The reason I stay up late at night. The reason why I bought sparkling water. The reason why I started to dance. The reason why I went to the concert.
 The reason for everything.

Kwon. Freaking. Yuri. was soooooo freaking beautiful. Saying that I was starstruck, lovestruck and breathless was an understatement. I wanted to cry, but I have no tears. I was awed by the fact that the person who I idolize and stare at the computer for days, was actually standing in front of me.

And because of that, I waved my phone excitedly. Hoping to at least get her attention and look at me.

AND IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS
*BGM: FINAL FANTASY VICTORY FANFARE*

SHE NOTICED ME. SHE LOOKED AT ME STRAIGHT INTO MY EYES AND SMILED THAT FREAKING ANNOYING YET STUPID YET BEAUTIFUL DROP DEAD GORGEOUS SMILE. AND WAVED. SHE FREAKING WAVED. THAT KWON YURI WAVED DHHJSBJHSIBYSUBK

OKAY PUTANGINA I NEED TO CALM DOWN.

AHEM. So yeah, she noticed me. We had eye contact. For like... 1 second. VIP was so worth it. I regret nothing.

After the lovely eye contact we had, I sat down the chair while looking up to the girl group I admired the most. They're still here. Despite the hardships. Despite the issues. I love them so much. They are my inspiration and motivation. Always have, always will.

Another good fried of mine, almost filmed the eye contact but she screamed during the moment and the camera shaked. Talk about spazz haha.

They sang Complete. They noticed our mini-fanevent. Blah blah~ It was a night worth remembering.

From DKFC, I tried to get your attention from the Gold Section. I failed. I must've looked like a complete fool. But I didn't regret anything from that night as well. If I didn't go that concert, I wouldn't have seen EXO complete...

Soshi complete. I wouldn't have seen Jessica in person.

But still... the experience from Best of the Best was better. Maybe because I finally achieved a milestone in my life and that is to get noticed by Kwon Yuri oh mydshushujs okay

I have pics of the concert and the eye contact moment. I might post it later :)

Hah... I missed blogging and writing. I've been busy lately. Lol sorry for the sudden personal talk.

Until next time. :)
