downfall of the hallyu wave?

So while strolling through my facebook groups one post caught my attention and a person did a pretty good comment:

" Spring 2013 already passed, but I think it will end - just not any time soon. Just like the downfall of Hong Kong's pop industry. You can already see the hallyu wave kind of following HK's footsteps; the mass production of rookie idols+ the idols going on shows that don't have anything to do with singing- it's just for the public to familiarize themselves with these idols, people liking these artists just for their looks and not talent.

We already have many many kpop fans who don't pay any attention to the rookie groups because they all seem so similar, and none really stand out anymore. With people just liking the older groups, what's going to happen when the older groups aren't there? So I think that the hallyu wave will eventually die ,but it won't be any time soon. Though, we might never know. Dbsk might really reunite and save the wave again."

I am seriously completely agreeing with this person. I already had in mind that the k-pop wave would probably go down someday. Not now, not this year and not next year. But I can totally guess that it will happen someday.

Ever since the last year and ever since k-pop got more known, the entertainments suddenly shot up and started creating new groups and pushing them to their limits. There are sooo freaking many (boy)groups that got created and I also have not listened to most of them and I don't plan to.

I would totally love to marry the person that wrote this comment. I mean, the entertainments and their rookies nowadays only try to show what good-looking and funny boys they have in the boygroups.

They don't even pay that much attention to vocals anymore and instead of using a bit more money to bring up a super good song with great vocals they just bring out good-looking guys. (hence why I seriously support most of the newer girlgroups more.) I personally think that the "older" artists are still the best artists.

JYJ, Shinhwa, TVXQ(sure, they don't produce their own music but most of the songs are still better than the stuff the rookies get to sing), ...that's where the gold comes from. And I am not saying that because I am a huge OT5 and cassiopeia. I just personally got to say that these groups brought out much more enticing songs.

Of course I do like some rookie groups. I like B.A.P very much and also EXO. But I think (even though I totally love EXO) you can see how the entertainments pay more attention to the presentation. Still love exo, nothing's gonna change lol.

I already started to feel like an outsider when it comes to k-pop. All the people nowadays suddenly listen to groups I've never heard of and once I look at a MV from them I don't like the music. There are a few exceptions, of course.

Sorry to take your time. I just wanted to write this down.

I think the hallyu wave will still continue on but it won't be popular like it is now, and there will definitely be a huge drop coming up whenever the current big groups (Super Junior, SNSD, etc.) completely retires from the idol scene~
It'll be a wonderful sight to see all the DBSK members united and start promoting again~
