personality » Shikhye is like a stone statue. Cold, blunt and unemotional. She is not someone to mince her words and she has no qualms against speaking her mind. She hates telling people what she's feeling and so she keeps herself away from people - locking away her feelings and being cold-hearted to everyone around her.

She laughs at other people's pain - as she only remembers the pain others have inflicted onto her as she grew up. Sarcasm and indifference are Shikhye's best friends - getting her through each day without a hitch, even though people generally avoid her because of her attitude. She hates being seen as weak - as it gives her the idea that people can take over her and get close to her. If you can get close to her and get her to open up you, you may as well be a god.

family background » Orphaned at birth, Shikhye didn't even have a name until she was picked up by a child worker. She was pretty much silent as a child, or so the orphanage says, and the only words you would get from her is a simple "yes" or "no" if you asked her a question. It wasn't that she couldn't talk, just more that she chose not to. She was always a girl of solitude - playing by herself and interacting with absolutely no one.

In school, Shikhye was more or less the same. Stoic, unemotional and distant from the other students. Few attempted approach her and those that did were ignored or thrown aside with a sharp comment or on a particularly bad day - a shove. People learned to stay away from her in order to avoid being injured one way or another. She was also one of the arrogant students, always making sarcastic comments towards her teachers and getting into trouble - although she didn't care either way. She was a lot smarter then her teachers made out and it showed in every grade she achieved.
