PERSONALITY
positive traits

+ has quick reflexes
+ laid back (could also be seen as negative)
+ optimisitc
+ loyal
+ protective

negative traits

- flirtacious (overly so)
- exceedingly moody
- has a malicious tongue (which she uses to humiliate people)
- lazy
- spoilt

Chang Mi is somewhat childish, not really understanding the world as everyone around her does and getting by doing things she thinks she should be doing. She has a sort of childish innocence that inadvertantly makes her alluring. She doesn't concentrate very well and doesn't really excel at any one thing.

Quick reflexes ; Chang Mi has a keen eye and quick reflexes to catch anything and everything. This includes nasty comments made by her peers. She uses this reflex to defend herself or just to keep on top of everything that's happening in the school. She's the queen for gossip, even though she's most commonly found slouched at her desk, asleep. However, on the rare occasion that she's free of a hangover, Chang Mi has in-built reflexes that save her from being too injured from nasty people.

Laid back ; Chang Mi doesn't really mind what happens with her life. She's probably got an average grade, or she could be bottom of the class. She doesn't know and she doesn't really care. Her life revolves around hooking up with hot guys and dancing the night away, grinding against some sleazy guy, chugging away at a bottle of tequila. She knows it's probably damaging her future, not to mention her body along with it, but she doesn't care. Life is too short to waste being boring and uptight, right?

Optimistic ; Being optimistic is one of Chang Mi's strange perks. Maybe it's the alcohol or just the way she lives her life, but Chang Mi is constantly smiling and putting up a happy front (even when she's upset). She's always hopeful that one day she'll find someone that she can just be with or that one day she'll finally find a real purpose for life and stop the constant partying (as much as she loves it). She's also creepishly optimistic in the weirdest instances, including when she's in trouble for a bad grade or being punished for being late, sleeping in class or (even more disturbingly) getting caught in the act.

Loyal + Protective ; Air-headed and dumb as she may seem, to the few real friends that Chang Mi does have, she's exceedingly loyal. She doesn't really mind when people start to bad mouth her, knowing that her party girl reputation preceeds her, but if someone starts to bad mouth her friends, then she becomes super defensive and will defend her friends like her life depends on it. Party girl or not, Chang Mi will go as far as to put her life on the line for her friends, because she knows she can count on them when she needs it most. This also seems to come from the fact that becaues Chang Mi has so few friends, she's scared that if she takes things too far and doesn't look after the relationships she has, she'll lost them.

Flirtatious ; Chang Mi has no filter on her flirting. She is overly flirtatious, does not seem to understand appropriate puplic standards and thinks she can get away with everything (which for the most part, honestly, she does). The way she walks, talks, even looks at people can come across as flirtatious and it often gets her into trouble. She's been known to lure in student teachers (most by accident) but she won't say no to anyone who asks her for a little fun. She sees nothing wrong with playing around, and she makes it known that she has no definite attachments to anyone she has her way with.

Moody + Malicious ; Even Chang Mi has her share of moody days, more so after a night of heavy drinking and partying. This is most usually paired with the entrance of her malicious insults. Most of the students by now have realised that if Chang Mi is asleep at her desk of a morning, do not disturb her until she decides to wake up herself. If you do, she will lash out and humiliate whoever disturbed her until they cry. Of course, she's unaware of every time she does this really, as it's completely induced by the hangovers and migranes. Either way, she's grateful when people steer clear of her on these days.

Lazy + Spoilt ; If it has nothing to do with hot guys or parties, Chang Mi is very lazy. She puts her schoolwork off to the very last minute, sometimes not doing it at all. She hates doing difficult tasks and usually sleeps through group projects, which makes her a little less popular between her classmates. She's used to everyone doing everything for her at home and so she doesn't feel the need to do anything really, even when at school. She will only do work when she really sees the need for it, for example if she knows she's failing a grade miserably. She really does just enough work to keep her grade from failing. Adding to the laziness, Chang Mi is constantly spoilt by her parents and siblings. Since she's from a wealthy family, Chang Mi is used to getting what she wants. She's not accustomed to being told no and she makes it well known that her family is extremely influential, especially to the school.

BACKGROUND
Nam Chang Mi was born on the 23rd of September, 1996 in Yonsei University Hospital. She is the youngest of five and the only girl. Due to some complications during her pregnancy, Chang Mi's mother was forced to have her ovaries removed under the threat of ovarian cancer, rendering her unable to have any more children. Due to this, Chang Mi's parents regard her as a miracle. It was also a fact that Chang Mi's parents had long wanted a girl after having four boys. When Chang Mi was brought home for the first time, her brothers instantly felt affection for their little sister and the protectiveness of an older brother they hadn't felt before.

Growing up under the watchful eye of her parents, Chang Mi was taught various things from her brothers. From how to walk, to reading, to speaking, playing with a soccer ball and dancing. Since she had four big brothers to teach her things and watch over her, Chang Mi's parents decided not to get her a nanny, letting her grow up in the glow of family.

By the time Chang Mi was ready to start her first year of proper school, she could read, write and speak clearly, count to 100 and had grasped the basics of dancing and soccer. She already knew that she wasn't as intelligent as Minhyun, who could read thick volumes that their father gave him, she wasn't as althetic as Jongdae, who could run for hours without getting tired and could already ride horses, she wasn't as adept as Seo Jun was with helping the cooks in the kitchen and she was certainly nowhere near as talented as Ji Sung with his violin or his paintbrush. Chang Mi was never sad though, as her brothers encouraged her endlessly, teaching her as much as they knew so she would never be left out.

Chang Mi was 12, when Ji Sung announced he was leaving for England. At 22, Ji Sung was ready to spread his knowledge and take on new challenges. Chang Mi will never forget how much she cried the night before he left, sobbing into his sweatshirt as he sung lullabies to her. He promised her endlessly that he'd send letters and presents for her whenever he could in between his education, sealing the promises with a pinky swear.

When Chang Mi was 15, she met Rin Seok, a shy but handsome boy in her class. He wasn't well off, but he had a nice smile and Chang Mi soon found herself falling for him. They started dating when Rin Seok confessed. Their relationship was the envy of everyone, until Rin Seok spotted Chang Mi out shopping with another boy. They were laughing and the boy had his arm over Chang Mi's shoulder, her grabbing his jacket, smiling. The next day at school Chang Mi found Rin Seok behind the gym, kissing one of the popular girls. She confronted him instantly, slapping both of them and was shocked when Rin Seok spat that he'd seen her cheating on him. Try as she might to explain that it was her brother he saw, Rin Seok refused to believe her and dumped her.

She went home that day, skipped dinner and cried herself to sleep.

She became a shell of the girl she used to be and the day of her high school opening ceremony, Chang Mi was approached by a girl who'd before then, kept her distance. She introduced herself as NaeHa and claimed that from that day on, they were going to be best friends. Too surprised to say anything, she went along with it. It didn't take NaeHa long to realise that Chang Mi was miserable, not at all like she had been in middle school. So, she insisted Chang Mi come to a party with her, to cheer her up. It just so happened that the party they went to, was one of Minhyun's friends and instantly, Chang Mi brightened by seeing her brother.

Chang Mi will never forget how that first shot of tequila burned or how much fun she had that night.

Part after party, Chang Mi attended with either NaeHa or Minhyun at her side and slowly but surely, came crawling out of her shell, becoming more and more confident. Soon enough, she was going to parties alone, making out with whoever caught her eye and stumbling home well after midnight. Well aware of their daughter's activities, Chang Mi's parents warned her not to get too lost in her partying. They told her that they wouldn't stop her, but only if she promised to be careful and to have someone trustworthy on speed dial just in case.

Highschool flew by in a blur of parties, semi-passable grades and spending most of her spare time with her brothers.

Before she knew it, Chang Mi was facing her last year of high school and she was certain that her track record wasn't a good one. As she scoured the list of electives, she chose one that was sure to be a breeze and would get her an easy pass. And that's how she ended up in Mr Oh's Music Theory elective.

BROTHER - Minhyun - University Student - Her youngest brother and favourite, Minhyun is the one that takes Chang Mi to parties and the one that takes care of her afterwards. He and Jongdae are also the ones that are always there for her when she's upset.

BEST FRIEND - NaeHa - Student - The first person Chang Mi befriended in highschool, way back in first year, before her party girl reputation came into play. However when it did, instead of leaving, NaeHa became a substantial part of it.
FRIEND - Rachelle - Foreign Transfer Student - American born and bred, Chang Mi immediately fell into Rachelle's friend circle. Rachelle is the sort of girl that goes to a party and disappears. Something Chang Mi is totally okay with.

FRENEMY - EXOTIC plotline - Student - Interactions with her only happen at school, usually after a big party and she just loves to make Chang Mi irritated, although if she catches anyone going to play a prank on her, she'll beat them up.

ENEMY - Maeyoung - Student - Rin Seok's favourite play thing. She has a strong vendetta against Chang Mi for breaking Rin Seok's heart and as she put it "making him unable to love again". This is all fuelled by her utter commitment to him and she claims she is deeply in love with him.

EX-BOYFRIEND - Rin Seok - Student - The only guy to avoid Chang Mi like she's cursed. He's now a playboy, having had his heart broken by Chang Mi and vice versa. He lives to insult the girl he once loved and he's the only person who really knows how to hurt her.
PLOTLINE
PLOTLINE - Kiss Me
WHY DID SHE CHOOSE MUSIC THEORY AS HER ELECTIVE? - Chang Mi chose music theory as an elective, because she thought the class would be an easy way to improve her final grade once she graduated. However, once she realised that it wasn't going to be as easy as she thought it was, it was way too late for her to back out.
LOVE INTEREST
NAME - Shin Soohyun

PERSONALITY - Soohyun is a kind of shy, bookish but not nerdy, guy. He's observant, generous and is a fountain of advice about absolutely everything. Everyone loves him because he's always ready to lend a helping hand, listen to anyones problems and always offers great advice. He can get a little dorky, imitating people and characters from his favourite TV shows, but he's got a heart of gold and is a friend to pretty much everyone. He's the kind of person that will go out of their way to help you and never ask for anything in return. He's also very smart, almost at the top of his classes and is exceedingly charming. He likes looking after people younger than him (and as such is very popular at the local orphanage, where he donates his time) and he seems to be a very good leader, always being picked to lead a class assignment or event.

RELATIONSHIP - When the class first started, Chang Mi avoided speaking to Soohyun at all costs, a little sheepish of the fact that they'd done it less than 4 months ago. Soohyun didn't seem to mind the fact that she would blush a little each time they crossed gazes, but he would always greet her politely and then not speak again unless they had to. It did seem, however, that Soohyun was extremely attentive, giving her worried looks whenever he spotted bruises forming after a rough night out. He noticed when Chang Mi's grades began to drop and he warned her against leaving her schoolwork unfinished. She passed his advice off with a smile and continued like always. Soohyun shook his head knowingly when Chang Mi was called out for having bad grades in front of the class, but was surprised when he was the one tasked to improve her. Chang Mi remembers the way members of the class had sent him sympathetic looks and she hated it.

Now technically student and teacher, Chang Mi and Soohyun would meet in the library during lunch and free periods to discuss their strategy of improving her grades. Once Soohyun's instruction began, however, Chang Mi seemed to find it funny to miss sessions and have Soohyun storming into the lunch room and drag her out. Soohyun's not sure if he likes this childish side of her, or if it's just severely irritating. Once he gets Chang Mi to focus, Soohyun realises she's not as stupid as she makes herself out to be. Once she realises that her avoiding the tutoring sessions is really just making Soohyun angry, Chang Mi decides it best to just show up on time, do the work Soohyun gives her and get out.

She doesn't stop the partying.

After a particularly intense drinking session and wild party, Chang Mi finds herself stumbling down a gravel road that she's never been down before and instantly panicks. Grabbing her phone from her purse, she dials whatever number she finds first. As it rings, she's sure she must've dialed either Minhyun or Jongdae and so is surprised when Soohyun answers. He has to assure her he's not having some sort of nasty fling with either one of her brothers and then she tells him what's happened... Well, as best she can while drunk. He gets the gist of it pretty quickly and gets anxious when she yelps. There's the sound of clicking stilletos for a bit and then nothing. After a moment of silence, a teary Chang Mi says there was someone watching her and she ran. Soohyun's more than a little worried by now and tells her to stay where she is - he's coming. Soohyun finds her cowering under a rather wild looking bush, in nothing but a short dress and heels. He helps her up, gives her his heavy coat and takes her home. Handing her over to Jongdae, Soohyun makes to leave when Chang Mi grabs his arm and makes him promise not to mention what happened to anyone, including NaeHa.

He agrees and goes home.

Chang Mi is on her absolute best behaviour for the next month and a half, attending school sober, not going to parties every night and completing all her work on time. It scares everyone, except Soohyun, who laughs every time someone sends him a what-the-hell-did-you-do look. He thinks Chang Mi must be psychic because a few days after Chang Mi calling him drunk, NaeHa corners him and asks him what happened. He denies anything happened and tells her that Chang Mi's eldest brother had berated her for her grades slipping so low. She seems to buy his answer and leaves.

After the incident, Chang Mi and Soohyun get along much better than before. Talking to each other in class, texting while in separate rooms and they started to each lunch together. Yoo Rae insists to NaeHa and Rachelle that she's seen the pair out together on a weekend, shopping. Rachelle doesn't believe her but NaeHa starts to feel suspicious. She corners Chang Mi and makes her spill everything. Chang Mi admits that she's starting to actually like Soohyun, but she doesn't know how to react to the feeling, since she hasn't felt like this since dating Rin Seok. NaeHa laughs at her, saying that she'll help Chang Mi and promises to keep it all a secret.

HISTORY - Chang Mi and Soohyun met at a party, ironically enough. In a drunken haze, they made out, had and then never saw each other again. Then, a few months later, who should appear in Chang Mi's elective but the really hot guy she had her way with at NaeHa's party. She's a little embarrassed at first, especially when she has to sit next to him as per the teacher's orders. Then she sort of remembers that she's Nam Chang Mi and the embarrassment disappears. Things really started to get interesting when Chang Mi's grades in the class drop and Mr Oh delegates Soohyun to be her tutor.
