background ` born in canada, but raised as the korean she was born is miss kim junah, who was technically born "juliah kim". being taught two languages since birth was both a challenge, a struggle and a game for dear junah, because she was told that when she was younger she would constantly mix up her languages together where speaking konglish was the only language she spoke. also as the younger sister of two, junah was not an only child (although her brother would claim otherwise). junah would often cling to her brother at times, seeing that her parents were often out working and she could only rely on her brother when times were tough. as a kid, junah was just as childish as she is today and everyday; always causing trouble for herself or other people be it during school or at home with her family, junah always ended up doing something that'd have her sent into the corner. junah had always been a smart kid, it was just that junah preferred living life rather than wasting it on school work; during school, junah would often neglect her studies, always joking around, maybe skip classes and dance all day. she wasn't considered the best student around, and it wasn't until junah got into some serious trouble did her schooling and academics finally become an issue. junah has to momentarily pause her dance activities as well as sports such as basketball and soccer in order to pick up her grades and refrain from goofing off. her parents weren't pleased with her actions, especially when her older brother was doing so well in school. it took a lot of effort and time for junah to pick up her grades, and even when she made it to at least the top 50, she was still un-accomplished. highschool increased that difficulty, and it was almost as if there was no hope in anything anymore. her grades were slipping, her activites were kept aside, as well as her passions. junah was so close to being held back a grade. but, with the help of her friends and parent's support, junah managed well through-out the years. she studied harder and put schooling a priority before anything else. it wasn't until kris' departing did junah realize how much she missed the music and the dancing. she had almost completely forgotten how special that passion of her's was, and once junah and her family moved back to busan, korea (to get more in touch with her cultural state, and because of her mother's job), junah auditioned into JYP entertainment, failing at first, which has struck her as a total loss of hope. with determination and her family's encouragment, she brought herself into trying again, this time putting as much effort as she did into her studies and finally squeezed herself into JYP as a temporary trainee before she was transferred into SM a year later. although she had regretted choosing dance and music over education at first, junah had proceeded to learning during her training so that in the future, if stardom hadn't worked out well, she could still find herself a living whether she liked it or not.

" ; 22 + 901106 ; exo-m ; cocky, dorky, teasing ; one of junah's close friends when she was living in vancouver, who also attended the same highschool together. they used to play basketball together a lot, seeing that they were both of a monstrous height, but split momentarily when yifan became a trainee. it wasn't until junah later auditioned in busan (when she moved) and met up with kris afterwards, where they both trained together for the time being. these two are like brother and sister, and are practically joint to the hip. they both love joking around, and they make fun of each other a lot where one goes, "you're ugly!" and the other just casually kicks the other's . kris basically lives off junah's stupid, while junah can't get enough of kris when it comes to making jokes about his drawings, dance moves and arrogance. they often speak in english rather than korean because back in canada, kris could only speak english-chinese while junah spoke english-korean. kris usually goes by junah's english name, "juliah" or "julie" while junah goes by "kreasy wu" or his chinese name "yifan". there's a lot of history between these two, and even having dated once (out of stupidity and curiousity), these two just come to the realization that they're staying bfffl's.

" ; 21 + 920126 ; original character ; childish, fun, outgoing ; alongside of yifan and junah was mari, who was sadly left behind in vancouver when both kris and junah moved, and went to pursue her job as a grade-school teacher. back in vancouver, junah and mari would spend everyday together, hanging out afterschool, going to each other's houses and even playing basketball with kris (though mari was on the shorter side). both mari and junah spoke to each other in korean, even if junah's korean was accented in satoori, mari would often imitate it. other times they would have spoken in english, since they were both born in canada. after the depart, mari and junah kept close in touch through skype and other social media's like facebook and such. they're still in touch today, it's just difficult to find enough time.

→ ahn sohee ; member of wonder girls ; it was around the beginning of junah's training at jyp before she was transferred into sm ent, during one of junah's dance practices where she had completely occupied the dance room. it was around the same time sohee usually practiced her routines and was surprised to see somebody - what she called an amateur - dancing at her reserved time. at first, sohee came on politely, and junah had reacted just the same. it wasn't until sohee had commented on junah's height and dance moves, claiming that her limbs looked too long was when junah realized she hadn't made a friend. junah wasn't really sure as to why sohee and her hadn't gotten along. perhaps because they were both good dancers, or just because. they never went far enough to be fist fighting, but did so alot verbally. junah was the "freak giant" while sohee was the "small face". they don't have an legit reason to be hating each other, but they like to make excuses. ; since junah left jyp after a year to start training at sm, junah and sohee barely had a lot of contact. it wasn't until sohee's debut and the various amounts of concerts did the two start their bickerings again. they usually don't talk, seeing that if they do fights will be broken, so they practically glare at each other and look away. a kind of "oh it's you again" relation. they do respect each other though, for each other's talents. their excuse is that they don't like each other's personalities. sohee says junah's too carefree and unprofessional. junah says sohee's too stuck-up and too much of a perfectionist.
