Heechul (btw, Happy Birthday oppa~) did something recently that made me really happy.

 

The video at the bottom of this post is something I found of Heechul referring to Henry as a Super Junior member.  A legit Super Junior member.  I was so happy.

 

As some of you may know, there's been an issue with yet another Only 13 petition going on lately.  I won't get into detail about this and I encourage you all not to mind too much about it either because it's always better to focus on the happy things.

Remember that most ELFs have accepted Henry and Zhoumi, and the only people who advocate for Only 13 are what's known as the "vocal minority".

 

Some of them may use Eunhyuk's statement during SS5 as an argument for 13.

Frankly I was a little disappointed that he didn't stand up for his brothers and instead said:

"Firstly, Zhou Mi and Henry are not official Super Junior members, but Zhou Mi and Henry are official members of Super Junior M... Henry and Zhou Mi as Super Junior M members, are important, and we`ve spent a long time together with them. We have a close friendship with them, and support them like they are family members."

 

I'm sad to say that I can't really see Eunhyuk in the same light as I used to anymore since he did nothing to ease this unfair discrimination against Henry and Zhoumi and just added more fuel to the fire.

 

Heechul has, however, proven that he is a loving and understanding hyung.  I believe part of the reason he may side with the other two is because there was once a time some "ELFs" petitioned his presence in Super Junior because he "damaged SJ's image because [he] sang badly."

Leeteuk, being Heechul's only hyung in Super Junior, stood up for him at that time.  Heechul seems to have taken over that position for the time being and is supporting Henry and Zhoumi.

 

Very few idols dare to speak as straightforwardly without any regard to image as Heechul.

 

Two quotes from Heechul that stand out to me the most still to this day are:

"People who support me while attacking others. I don’t think of them as my fans. Protect what needs to be protected and let’s have fun."

"If you can’t accept 15 of us, Why do you even call yourself an ELF?"

 

Even Heechul supports Forever 15, and I believe that we should really try to live up to the "everlasting" aspect of our name, don't you think?

The Only 13 campaigners are just posers considering they often act as if they will leave the fandom if Henry and Zhoumi were to join.  That isn't loyalty.

 

The point of this whole rant is basically: I want to remind everyone that our purpose as fans is to spread love, not hate.  We need to show our love to other fandoms, artist, and celebrities too.  People tend to forget that often during their blind love for their idols that they should lead lives, on and offline, that our idols would one day want to proudly point to as say "Hey, that fan is mine!"
