Personality: Appears cold to strangers at first, but once she gets to know and trust them well, she is really very kind and friendly. She is also very caring and understanding, and polite and obedient to those superior and/or older than her. Pretty much a tomboy because she likes to wear feminine clothes, but turns VERY serious and competitive when performing, playing sports or doing martial arts, acting just like a boy. When she senses danger, like around a ert, gang, or someone with bad intentions, she becomes pretty defensive over people, whether they be loved ones or complete strangers, and uses martial arts to protect them. When it calls for it, she may even risk her own LIFE to save them. Background: Her parents met when her Korean father and his parents went to Guangzhou, Guangdong, China for a business trip and he bumped into her Chinese mother at a nearby park while out on a walk to escape his tiring life of being the sole heir of "Song Technology", the #1 high-tech gadget making company in the world. She herself was hiding from her family who had tried to get her married to an old family friend's son in hopes of uniting their retail companies together, even though she does not want to inherit "Song Enterprises". They eloped despite their parents' wishes and fled to Vancouver, Canada, where they got married. Nine months after, her mother died giving birth to her so she grew up with only her father, as her grandparents had disowned their only children after their affair and didn't even know of their grandchild's existance. When she was 3 years old, she met her BESTEST friend Kris of Exo-M, who was 6 years old at the time, in the park near her house where they found out they were next-door neighbors and had a lot in common. When she was 5, however, she moved to Santa Rosa, California, USA where she went through her elementary, middle and high school days with her new-found friend, but she never forgot about him. Since she was young, she had loved anything music, like singing, dancing, rapping, and playing instruments, and her father signed her up for classes when she turned 6 years old, including kickboxing for self-defense.

How Do You Get Into SM?: When she was 17, she was scouted by SM Entertainment when one of her friends recorded her singing and dancing to BoA's Hypnotic Dancefloor at their high school graduation and sent it in an application for her, and the president liked it and accepted her right away.
Trainee Life: Although the training schedule is a bit difficult to deal with, she manages to work through it because she loves what she does. The only problem is the other trainees, who see her as a nuisance because she is American. They also see her as inpure, since she is half-Korean, half-Chinese, and often taunt her about her heritage. But it does not bother her as much since she met Kris again and they rekindled their friendship, becoming inseperable once again. She also made a friend of Tao, who she encountered practicing wushu and asked if she could be his sparring partner. In exchange, she helps him whenever he is feeling down and self-conscious of himself.

How you met : When she was 3 years old, Kris's family migrated to Canada and moved into the house right next door to them, although they didn't meet until the kids wanted to go to the park. There, she was playing on the swing when she lost her grip and fell, cutting her knee, and Kris rushed over to help her. After she said she didn't want to get on anymore because it hurt her, he told her that it wouldn't because he was going to be there and it was scared of him, so she reluctantly got on and soon was happy having Kris push her.
