appearance:
→ hyeri is very average in height and in weight. she's not the tallest, nor is she the shortest; and neither is she fat nor slim. her most accentuated features are her eyes, though, as she is known for her signature eye-smile. matching the color of her eyes, her long, wavy hair is a dark coffee brown, curling just enough to frame her heart-shaped face. her skin is milky, though if you look closely, you'll probably find a few blemishes and acne scars concealed with a blanket of foundation. aside from her eyes, hyeri has just about one of the most earnest smiles; but after all, it's a president's duty to emanate with welcoming air.

personality:
→ picture a hypothetical bowl of chocolate ice cream. now drizzle a couple of hot fudge upon the delicacy and indulge yourself a little way's in the aromatic scent of cocoa before tossing in about two cups of mini marshmallows. you're not done — add a dash of sprinkes, a pinch of sugar, and top if off with whipped cream. now you're done; imagine how sweet this dessert would taste. did you get it yet? sweet, right? well, now you can multiply that amount by about ten fold and you will finally be able to comprehend the basis of how sweet of a character kang hyeri is.

→ kang hyeri takes it into her own hands to ensure the safety and smooth-running that goes along within school. she's dutiful, yes and quite responsible, but that doesn't not prevent her from being a sweetheart. hyeri's style is very gentle, and she is normally very empathetic and considerate when dealing with her peers and other people, as she is also very adamant in taking care to consider every point of view to remain as open-minded as possible. she's very softspoken and is sometimes taken advantage of, but hyeri doesn't make a move to point it out; she's always willing to lend a helping hand and if needed, will sacrifice herself before her classmates.

→ though look closely, and you will see that is not all there is to hyeri. look closely and you will find forced smiles and strained voices; earnestness soon disappears and you will question the sincerity behind hyeri's actions. though hyeri is very well known for her famous "just keep your head up. things will get better in the end", you will find that hyeri has much difficulty taking her own advice. hyeri is quite emotionally sensitive but makes it a priority to mask that by putting her responsibilities as class president ahead of herself. she'll easily become lost and though, and those who know her will question her mood-swing like tendencies. because everybody is so accustomed to leaning upon her and depending on hyeri to assist them, people overlook this feat. she keeps her true self away and tucks it back into her mind; for now, she'll keep up her nation's sweeheart facade and wonder who will be able to see through it.

backround:
→ when one thinks of a class president, one will assume they're most likely of high class and of highly reputed names. their background is probably fairly forunate in luxuries, and if their father is not a doctor then he shall be a lawyer. this, however, does not apply to hyeri at all. her father is neither a doctor nor lawyer; he is not even wealthy. her father is a simple man, a placid postman. he delivers mail and he receives packages. he sorts files in the office and he's divorced. that is hyeri's background. boring. distasteful. it's a wonder she's still so gentle. she was about nine when her parents decided to separate. it was quiet with little disputes, and it was over just as quickly as the annulment was suggested; though as much as hyeri wanted to go live with her mother, the latter wouldn't allow it. she didn't want hyeri to follow her around, and neither did she want to be burdened with another mouth to feed with her already-diminishing salary as a florist. that impacted hyeri in ways unimaginable.

→ the younger took it into her own hands to prosper. she loved her father, though she might have adored her mother just a bit more. it's not entirely tragic, neither is it a fatal love story, but her father did as much as he could for his daughter. and though hyeri's mother eventually stopped contacting her (last hyeri heard was that her mother remarried and was into two months of pregnancy), the younger still believes that if she strives further enough, maybe she'll be able to prove to whomever that she doesn't need both parents to be successful. maybe she doesn't need her mom, and maybe her dad doesn't have to break his back working so hard to maintain a moderate lifestyle. with this mindset, hyeri became involved; with her community, with her hobbies, she preoccupied herself with various activities, whether it be teaching herself or learning alongside friends, she kept herself busy. to keep herself distracted, to make her father proud, to ensure she could prosper, hyeri did what she could to live the life her parents had always expected out of her. she studied harder than others, volunteered a bit more, stayed up a little later — but in due time, hyeri realizes that it's paid off.

→ hyeri continues to live to this day with this mindset drilled into her aspirations. her life may not be the most fantastic, and it's certaintly not the fairty tale she had wished to live as a younger child, but hyeri doesn't want to worry her father. she ensures him with sweet smiles and grateful reassurances that she is fine; she stores herself away and makes her her woe cannot be detected. so for now, hyeri can only believe that her duties as president will occupy her enough to distract her from her betrayal; and for now, she can only hope that it will last long enough so she doesn't break.

how you were scouted to be in student council?:
→ it difficult to garner her teachers' attention at first, though once that was accomplished, it was almost a breeze for hyeri. she had the work ethic that rivaled a mule's and she had a fascination for studying. though she was not number one, she was ranked amongst the top students, and hyeri was strong-willed enough, also so immaculate with her studies that she was appointed as president with little deliberation.
who you're applying for: kim joonmyeon's sweet spice

your position in the student council: president

— I G O T A C R U S H.

 love interest's name: kim joonmyeon
 current relationship: tutor/student
though over time, joonmyeon takes on the task of becoming hyeri's much needed therapist

his personality: he can appear to be cold, but he's just selective of friends
it is also a known fact that joonmyeon is quite prideful, and sometimes
may have the tendency to grow possessive of what he believes to be his,
or of what is actually his. though he actually means well. joonmyeon, like
hyeri just has difficulty in displaying his true emotions and hides it behind
 tough guy exterior.

how do you guys act around each other?: at the start, there wasn't much
to be said around one another, so it was almost hostile. but as time
progressed, joonmyeon eventually became the listening ear for hyeri to
comfort herself and release her pent up anger and sadness. he doesn't do much
currently to console her aside from listening and giving her the occassional pat on the
shoulder, but the other still appreciates it. without wanting to arise questions
from their peers, they still act as regular tutor and student but in private, they're something just more than that.

note: as hyeri and joonmyeon continue to open up more, hyeri's image loosens as well as her speech. she'll become more casual and she doesn't really refrain herself with civil politeness. eventually, her responses to joonmyeon will become wittier and slightly sassy.

*comments: i feel like i made the layout look weird, orz. sorry, haha!

 *scene suggestions?:
→ in which joonmyeon decides being a listening rock isn't enough for hyeri so he decides to buy her a cake (only to end up getting shy about it in the end, but hey; it's the thought that counts)
→ joonmyeon is in class early for once and he just so happens to hear hyeri's strained voice trying to calm down an enraged student. something about missing notebooks and it being hyeri's fault for not keeping close watch, but who cares? joonmyeon doesn't wanna hear it, and i guess he's just gonna have to play hero for hyeri just this once.
→ maybe you can try forming a study group between the exo boys and some selected applicants. with the intentions of getting the boys to be comfortable, it instead goes wrong and they wreak havoc instead of studying with a casual atmosphere. pft, boys.
