'Jane Eyre' is a great book! :3
Anything by John Steinbeck is a classical, I guess, and he has very interesting books mostly about the Great Depression...
You also have 'Pride and Prejudice', 'Sense and Sensebility' and 'Wuthering Heights', classical love stories that explore such subjects as money, power, equality, etc.
'Dorian Gray' is a wonderful book as well, not about love though...
